They destroyed paradise and I hope they rot in hell for what they did!

It’s not like people didn’t warn them.

Well, they’re taking the Detroit experiment and taking it to an entire state. Going big. Politicians love being tinpot dictators - the elite - in Third World countries. There’s no competition. So obviously, the answer for them is to turn the entire country into a Third World s**thole. Get rid of that uppity middle class...

It would also appear that CA over-regulates in many areas. How can a state require 32 different grades of distillate fuels at various counties in the state when most states have 3. Ever wonder why you guys lead the US in fuel prices?

“And Detroit, also”

I prefer Detroit. They already hit bottom. California still has a ways to go before they bounce off the rocks.

If you are smart enough to make a lot of money and live in California, then you are smart enough to want to have fewer Californians.

How do you accomplish this?

The rich have the money to fight you.

The liberals don’t want to be seen picking on the poor.

What’s left?

The middle class.

That’s who they are getting rid of in California, and it’s on purpose.

Too damn many people on their highways and beaches.

Now is a time of great decision/ Are we to stay or up and quit?/ There's no avoiding this conclusion/ Our state is turning into s***.

As a kid watching TV in the 70’s and 80’s i used to dream about living in California.
Now in 2018 the closest i EVER plan on getting to the west coast is trips to Las Vegas....and based on my recent one it may be some time before i even go there again.

Proglodytes turn everything they touch, including the Democrat Party, into a sh**hole.

“decades of leftist policies penalizing and demonizing employers, businesses, property owners, innovators, entrepreneurs—”

Um, he forgot to mention one little thing.

I wish I could move out of California, but I’m 65 and all of my children and grandchildren are here and I won’t leave them. Once a mom, always a mom.

Good. $hit is best spread into a hole or field separated by clean earth to let it decompose and turn into harmless dirt. The more $hit that is kept from comingling in contact with what we touch, walk on, mingle thru, sit on, or just spend idle time with, until it breaks down into harmless nutrients, the better.

That being said however, that sure is one expensive hugh giant outhouse, California is. Funny what people will pay so much for, especially when it’s not beneficial for them?

“It’s the illegals, stupid”

To paraphrase a famous Dim, and directed at nobody in particular.

Illegals are the entire root and tree. Million of ‘em.

Having “citizen” babies.

You have all these illegals coming into the state who are not paying income taxes or very little. A lot of them that are working are doing so “under the table” and not paying taxes. California is driving tax paying Conservatives out of the state.

Good article. I moved to CA in 1973 when it was still The Promised Land. The Progs have sure screwed it all up.

One thing that HAS worked, I must admit, is pollution control. When I moved here, the air pollution was as bad as Los Angeles and there were 20 to 30 days when a brown pall hung over Silicon Valley and you couldn't see across the bay. Today, that is extremely rare and we usually have very clean air.

This list in the article is just amazing...

California’s Economic Forecast is Dismal

According to the 10th Edition of Rich States, Poor States: ALEC-Laffer State Economic Competitiveness Index for 2017, California ranks 47th in economic outlook. Why?

There was a similar post a couple weeks ago pointing out that, when you adjust for all these bad factors, the state ranks about #35 overall in the country, not near the top.

I’ll settle with the beautiful Coast of Maine in summer and the White and Green Mountains of NH and VT in the winter.

I know there are many like you and i’m sorry for your predicament.
You share the same reason as i why i cannot move out of my Moonbat state...at least not for a while..
