Of THAT list, the only two that are any good to me are “Fame” by Bowie and “Baby Come Back” by Player.

Crocodile Rock was Elton’s lamest song ever. “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” should be there instead, or “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting”. Although I’m not a big Elton fan, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” as an album is probably one of the best albums ever, IMHO.

The rest of the list ... ehh... Hardly a guitar anywhere to be heard in there...

Well, they’re Billboard’s most popular, so people then disagreed with you.

I actually left off listening to the pop stuff as the decade went on. Everything derivative or Hollywood.
