Steve Bannon: 'King of #MeToo Trump Backstabbers'
Canada Free Press ^ | 01/04/2018 | Judi McLeod

But who's likely ever to believe anything written by Steve Bannon about whom someone famously said: "When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind"?

Welcome to your shaky new status, Steven Bannon: ‘King of #MeToo Trump Backstabbers’.

Rather than the New York Post headlining ‘Et Tu Bannon’, the literary world would be writing “Et Tu, Brutus” were it not for the misery that there is no literary world anymore, only mostly trash writers like Hillary Clinton and Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House author Michael Wolff.

No one more eagerly awaited Bannon’s Brutus status than dirt-digging Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who given Wolff braggadocio must have known it was coming down the pike.

Because you posted this, I assume you have better information on Steve Bannon's duplicity than quotes out of a book from a Liberal Kook who is known for making stuff up?

Where has there been confirmation that Bannon actually said any of the stuff of which he has been accused?

It was part of the “takedown” that never happened. This guy thought he was documenting the commie’s Nixonian fantasy!

The author, I mean! maybe Bannon was in on it and when things didn’t work out he went out back and yelled at the sky!

Anybody hear if Bannon denied any of this? I haven't. And I believe he did a radio inverview last night.

Unfortunately Bannon was proven to be a cuckold.

He’s just as big a cuck as Low-energy Jeb, Bolshevik Bernie and Lying Ted.

Trump is the one man we can trust,

He is the one man who cannot be intimated or corrupted

So far... all ive heard Bannon say about Trump is good things. Ever think we are being played?

And as far as i remember, Bannon has only been opposed to the McMaster and Javanka agenda. I have no problem with that.

“So far... all ive heard Bannon say about Trump is good things.”

True enough. However is he denying the things quoted in the Wolff book? IMHO Bannon is turning into a Glenn Beck.

I like Trump massively, but he isn’t perfect. He let the McMaster wing take over the NSC and end his goal of better relations with Russia and building a wall.
Mcmaster and Kelly have worked against both.rd

Bannon is for some policy positions that have been sunk after the inauguration.

I haven't either, and that increases the likelihood that Bannon did in fact do this. If it is eventually established that he did in fact do this, it was a colossal blunder on his part, and I would have to ask, "What the hell were you thinking?"

There is no upside benefit to talking dirt against Trump and his Family to the Liberal media people.

Bannon said that PDT, his son and son-in-law are traitors to their country.

So, no Bannon is not a friend of the President, and obviously it was Trump who got played by Bannon.

There is a lot more to the Trump / Bannon thing than just the article by Michael Wolff. But that's still the place to start:

"You Can’t Make This S--- Up": My Year Inside Trump's Insane White House

Also, by the same guy:

Donald Trump Didn’t Want to Be President

The next place to go is Breitbart, which Bannon is editor-in-chief of. They have been running a series of pretty vicious hit pieces on Jared Kushner. That would be sort of odd if "all is well" in Trump-land, wouldn't it. In fact it's so over the top it really supports the story that Wolff is telling. For instance:

This was the top story on Breitbart's "Big Politics" section yesterday. 40 point font.

‘Mr. Perfect’ Jared Kushner’s Not-So-Perfect Year

More from Bannon (his quotes, in his magazine, so I think you can't really argue he's saying this).

REPORT: Bannon Says Mueller Investigation Will Target Kushner, Manafort’s ‘Greasy’ Money Laundering Deals

Democrat Slams Jared over Lack of Disclosure: ‘What Is Mr. Kushner Hiding?’

Reports: Jared Kushner Ordered the Call That Sunk Michael Flyn

And, back when people thought Roy Moore was still a viable candidate, Bannon/Breitbart were running stories that it was Kurshner who had pushed Trump to embrace Luther.

Report: Jared Kushner Told Trump to Back Luther Strange to ‘Enrage Steve Bannon’

So, one can argue that lots of things in Wolff's book are made up or exaggerated. That might be true. But it's also true that Bannon is obviously fighting a war against Kurshner, so the basic gist of Wolff's report on the first year - that Bannon was ousted by Kushner, seems true.

And so, for Freepers we have to deal with the fact that the winner of the Year One Trump Power Struggle are two biggest liberals in the inner circle: Ivanka and Jared. That fact is also true.

There has been a lot of good news in the first year, but it is anything but a complete triumph. Bannon is quoted as giving trump only a 33% chance of making it to the end of his first term, with both impeachment and resignation being equally possible.

Anyone who reads Breitbart will find it easy to believe that Bannon said that. He's not just highly critical of his foe Kurshner, but of Trump, too. He reprints a lot of leftist drivel about Trump, and not with eye-rolling and editorial commentary around it. For instance:

Behar: Trump Needs to Be ‘Hospitalized’ — ‘He’ll Blow the Whole World Up So His Stupid Sons Don’t Have to Go to Jail’

This is a strange thing for a supposedly Conservative magazine that is on the Trump Train to do. It's not like Behar is a major figure requiring her comments to be covered as news.

You can see Bannon trying to keep Trump's feet to the fire, to keep him living up to his rhetoric in articles like this:

Trump’s Prioritizing DACA Illegal Aliens Breaks with ‘No Amnesty’ Commitmen

At this point the National Review is arguably more pro-Trump than Breitbart!

So, it's not just Wolff saying stuff, we have a lot of evidence to support his basic narrative.

Bannon can't resist talking to reporters the way some people can't resist another swig of grog from the flask. I don't understand it. He needs an intervention to get him to stay away from reporters, the way Trump needs an editor for his Twitter rampages.

Do I believe everything he's said about his time at the White House? Yes. Should he have said it? No.

That's because NR is pro-amnesty.

Oh that’s easy, because he gets paid to. Take a look at the posting history, he only posts the Canada Blog, never replies to any comments. A friggin’ automaton!

Let’s just hope the Canada Blog donates heavily to the FR coffers for this abuse.

Bannon is not editor in chief of Breitbart and he doesn’t make headline decisions.

that person would be Alex Marlow.
