UN peacekeepers need an invite from the Feds, not a city council. Exactly, and Boykin "asked" ... there is no such invite, "order" or anything else. It was a publicity stunt from a known crackpot Chicago Alderman.
That however doesn't stop so many here on FR from making stupid comments of course ...........

I participated in Model UN event at a local private college in 1972 as a junior in high school and managed to avoid becoming brainwashed. Of course, my event was a two-day affair rather than 4 days and I was there more for parliamentary procedure learning than anything else. I was involved in debate and forensic speech so that was why I was chosen to attend.
