US District Judge Anna J. Brown speaks in her courtroom this fall as the an Oregon Standoff defendant is being sentenced in her courtroom
Duane Ehmer was part of the Oregon Standoff protest and was tried in the second rigged trial process after leaders of the protest were acquitted in the first trial.
After his conviction Ehmer was sentence to one year and one day in prison and agreed to pay 10-thousand dollars in restitution. He's scheduled to report to a prison one thousand miles from his home on January 24th.
Ehmer has been a constant presence outside the courthouse in Portland during court activities related to the Oregon Standoff case, riding his horse "Hellboy".
Now Ehmer is riding "Hellboy" down the West Coast for a last ride on his way to prison. Today at 4pm Ehmer will be in Salem, Oregon at the State Capitol.
Ehmer is riding to draw attention to the Oregon and Bunkerville cases and those imprisoned in connection with them.
Ehmer believes that the federal authorities decision to send him to a California federal prison was related to his plan to ride his horse to the Oregon prison where he was originally set to serve his sentence.
The acquittal of the seven defendants including Ammon and Ryan Bundy in the first trial on Oct. 27, 2016 sent shockwaves out and its impact on the rigging of the process in Nevada was probably instrumental.
The not guilty verdicts no doubt caused Steven Myhre and the other prosecutors to double down on their withholding of massive amounts of evidence from the defense lawyers.
I hope some folks can come out to support Duane Ehmer and other prisoners as he rides his horse to prison in California.
It makes me wonder if Donald Trump should pardon him.
The whole case is a travesty. Myyhre should be in prison.
Sessions is looking at Bunkerville right now we are told.
In a few weeks it will become clear what the Justice Department is doing next in light of 3300 pages of evidence beneficial to the defendants being held back by prosecutors.
Are they doubling down on prosecution with an appeal to the 9th Circuit or backing down?
What will happen to the prosecutors involved in this disgusting activity?
What will happen to the BLM and FBI agents who’s disgusting activity was outed by a BLM official’s memo?
What will happen to the BLM official who is alleged to have committed perjury when she testified at an evidence hearing in the case?
This bureaucracy needs to be dismantled.
Putting Republicans like Jeff Sessions and Ryan Zinke in charge at Justice and Interior just doesn’t cut it.
I’d offer his horse and him some feed if he came though my way.
Ride away, my friend. USA government is so wrong for this.
