I doubt this will be all that harsh on Teddy - this is Hollywood, after all.
Movie set to be released in April 2018.
I wonder if it will show that Teddy was drunk and ran to avoid getting arrested for DWI? Or the fact that when he abandoned Mary Jo Kopechne she was still alive and probably lived for up to an hour before she ran out of air?
Probably not. As you said, this is Hollywood. It was probably all Trump’s fault.
Ted Kennedy was a drunken coward his whole life.
The trailer shows her underwater in the car reaching out to Edward as he is leaving.
Hell!...He'll be portrayed as a “victim of mysterious circumstances” that cost him his rightful place as President!
The cah spins round and round.
She was actually alive for several hours before she ran out of air. If Teddy had not waited 10 hours to sober up and work out his story before reporting it she would have lived.
Why did they have to wait for him to be gone before they released it?
And yet the Democrat Republic of Taxachusetts kept re-electing him until he finally died.
I know that. I was only relating to you what the trailer showed.
I think CNN already made their beloved Teddy as the victim of the biopic. Something about derailing a great careerist or something.
Of course, CNN couldn’t interview Mary Jo Kopechne as she’s unavailable for comment.
Yikes!
They didnt want to ruin the Kennedys reputation and legacy.......
Which is surprising because she votes in every election.
When I lived in Boston, I had a friendly argument about voting for Ted Kennedy with a co-worker. He said he would be voting for Kennedy in the Dem Primary simply because Kennedy would do lots for Massachusetts if he were President. Then he said you would vote for John Anderson because you used to live in Illinois, right?. I said no. I thought it was a ridiculous reason to vote for someone. The Kennedys OWNED Massachusetts. I once saw Teddy marching in a Rose Parade....a parade to honor his mother on her 100th birthday. He was sweating like a pig.....he shouldnt have worn a light blue shirt that day.
Too bad this movie wasn’t out when Kennedy was grilling Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork. Bork should have refused to be interrogated by this low-life. Or at the very least answered each of Kennedy’s questions with one word: “Chappaquiddick”.
Let’s see if Pocahantas is ready to speak out on behalf of women on this one.... :-)
Don’t hold your breath.
All they have to do is stick to the known facts, but they won’t.
