So many good things in this tax reform. Far from perfect, but many good things that are not being talked about.
Doubling of Estate tax exemption to 11 million for single, 22 million for couples.
Change of U.S. tax system to territorial basis. No more tax on income earned outside of the U.S. This has enormous privacy benefits as well. The U.S. has demanded information about all income, bank accounts, holdings, outside of the U.S.
There is no reason for that information any longer.
The U.S. was one of only a couple of countries with the idea that they had the right to tax income made anywhere in the world by any U.S. citizen.
Hundreds of thousands of well off U.S. citizens gave up their citizenship to escape this burden.
