That would be fine by me as long as it's done in a real communist country. The first bullet to the head of one of these contestants, for disobeying the state, might make some viewers a little squeamish though.

Excellent idea!
We could get survivors of the gulags, Chinese prisons and let them set up a village complete with guards, secret police and a prison.
Let the participants live in their socialist heaven with the survivors of the real gulags as administration, to ensure realism.

Let the villagers get by on rationed food, clothes, hot water.....rationed everything.
If they complain or try to leave they are sent to the prison with real starvation diets, floggings, anything short of death.

It could stream 24/7 on the net and the world could watch their misery.

I like the idea, but the reality the gulag survivors endured would never be possible under our laws, or socially acceptable, and if even suggested would not be believed.
