James Comey is tweeting again, this time quoting Robert H. Jackson, a former Attorney General, Supreme Court Justice and the chief prosecutor at the Nuremberg trials after WWII:

James Comey ✔@Comey

“[T]he citizen’s safety lies in the prosecutor . . . who serves the law and not factional purposes” Robert H. Jackson (former Attorney General, Supreme Court Justice, chief Nuremberg prosecutor)

"Hillary has always been a lousy candidate."

The whole idea that, just because her husband was President that makes HER the best qualified candidate for the post is, of course, just plan stupid.... No, beyond stupid..!! It borders on suicidal...

What the hell is wrong with these people..??? This isn't a "Monarchy"... I guess we're going to be forced to contend with the likes of Mooshell next.. :( It brings to mind Robert Mugabe naming his own wife to take over for him because he has become too old to do the job.... Is THAT where we are now... Like some African or South American shit hole country where only the "elite" families run every thing.?? They have all the government jobs and they have all the government wealth at their fingertips, and they us it like a hammer to beat the people into submission....

Nepotism.... THAT is precisely what is killing our government... Both locally and in Washington.......

Sorry for the rant.... :(

No, it was Marlene Dietrich

No, she was just a witness for the prosecution.

“I have no doubt in his own minds, he’s still the noblest of souls, just doing his job at a very difficult time.”

I suspect a lot of Nazi prosecutors thought the same thing.

I think the prosecution was led by Richard Widmark, who played Col. Tad Lawson.

Excellent find.
The comment by Robert Jackson really puts the role of the prosecutor in perspective.

This is a nice analysis, Mouton; but, may I quibble a bit with your pessimism?

These sleazy characters are going to be racing to the head of the line to make a deal with the prosecutor once indictments start flying.

It’s in their nature. Having no real principles or loyalty, most will try and save themselves.

My optimism went sky-high when I watched the entirety of the Sessions, Wray and Rosenstein hearings. These are men on a mission. Right now, their mission requires secrecy, as in any major investigation.

I think at this moment we may be in a deliberate “Holding pattern” with respect to the IG report, for the purpose of getting the Tax Bill passed. After that is done, we’re going to see history unfold.

"It sounds as if Comey was leaned on by the DOJ to exonerate Hillary, and was surrounded by treacherous underlings who were out to get Trump. "

Trying to be the victim like all good liberals. All he had to do is say NO, and report them, but he went along with it like the good little government whore he was, and still would be if President Trump hadn't fired him. It doesn't show him in a good light that he let the inmates run the asylum. He was Director in name only, and had no guilt about picking up his paycheck each week.
