Trump Enrages The Atlantic Simply By Eating. Now, That is Winning!
DB Daily Update ^ | David Blackmon

Posted on 12/04/2017 5:23:21 AM PST by EyesOfTX

Having apparently exhausted all other avenues of irrationally slamming President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three words), the fake journalists who infest The Atlantic have now decided to go after him for his…wait for it…EATING HABITS! I kid you not, some guy named James Hamblin issued a piece on Saturday that condemns Trump for liking – gasp! – McDonald’s and – horrors! – Oreos, for regularly consuming more that elite society deems appropriate in one sitting, and for snarfing down his food too quickly. Why, the nerve!

Here’s a typical paragraph: “There is no question that this diet is dangerous and is very likely to shorten a person’s life. His dietary pattern adds to the picture of a 70-year-old man who has long been living against all health advice—who does not exercise, who barely sleeps, who has tumultuous relationships, who is frequently enraged.” The author even goes on to claim that the President’s eating habits might well get us all killed, speculating that “Decisions to live this way would seem to offer insight into Trump’s ability to assess risk. In light of a nuclear standoff with North Korea, rapidly warming oceans, and a looming tax bill that would leave millions more Americans without health insurance, his approach to self-maintenance is not reassuring.”

It takes a special kind man to be able to enrage leftist Manhattan elitists by the simple act of consuming food, and it is oddly reassuring to so many millions of us out here in flyover country that our current POTUS is exactly that kind of man. Now I think I’ll run out to McDonald’s and get three bacon, eggs and cheese biscuits and a large Diet Coke for breakfast.

The left are so transparent. They didn’t care a whit about Bill Clinton’s atrocious diet, which consisted primarily of fast-food crap around the clock (though SNL with Phil Hartman did spoof Bubba’s eating habits).

Popeyes chicken is much better than KFC

The chicken is better (Kentucky Fried Chicken has gone downhill, especially since dropping transfats), but the service at Popeye's is consistently worse in towns where I have patronized both. Slow pace compounded by indifference.

There was one Kentucky Fried Chicken I went to in Birmingham, Alabama which combined slowness, studied indifference, messiness, and no French fries.

They are always looking for “reasons” why people should hate Trump.

“Ok, Mr. President, but please don’t tell Mrs Clinton that we let you eat fast food.”

“Listen, Jim. There’s gonna be a whoooole lotta stuff we don’t Mrs Clinton.”

One would think the leftists would be encouraging him to take that second piece of cake and have another French fry to shorten his days in office.

Long ago when we lived near Clarksville TN, we had a chicken place named something like Mrs Winters(?) They consistently had the best fried chicken I remember. Always had moist but done white meat. Too many places dry out their white meat to the jerky level of dryness.

They are trying to distract from the reports Clinton took over the party before winning the primary, the Democrat sex scandals, the sexual harassment charges against Hollywood.

Yup. And the supermarkets and some restaurants try to compensate with extra brine = less chicken.

Back in the '80s, like many U of C students, I favored Harold's Chicken Shack, with the all-time great neon sign of Harold taking a hatched to the chicken.

On returning years later, it moved down the street a few blocks, and the chicken wasn't the same. I also tried one that opened in Madison, Wisconsin. The chicken was sad there, as well. Then I found part of the answer: the company licenses the name and concept, but pretty much leaves the franchisees on their own for actually making the food. When you find a good one, it is GOOD. There is no attempt at chain consistency (even in the artwork, Harold is a different race depending on neighborhood).

The key test is a white-half, extra hot sauce.

I certainly do not remember the media going after Bill Clinton for his drug use or going after Obama for his drug use.

IIRC, Neither of those 2 ‘Presidents’ filed health reports with the proper authorities, like the prior Presidents did.

I think President Trump knows what he likes & what he wants to eat.

How minor a topic can these so called ‘journalists’ find to bitch about???

Hoe many of them use drugs-—drink—don’t ‘get enough sleep’—eat a poor diet?

I have been crabbed at for years about my eating habits. For years, my breakfast was a couple of sweet rolls & a Coca Cola. When I was working full time—an average of 78 hours a week in 1988, I ate about 80% of my meals in my car between bookkeeping clients. (Thank you, In n Out Burger) I do not smoke—never did. Do not drink—quit over 29 years ago. I eat when I want—not just because of the time on the clock. Sometimes I eat a ‘meal’ & mostly I graze.

I am now 78 & live alone & take care of my small horse ranch with minimal help from neighbors. One watches to make sure I don’t get hurt pulling hay down off he hay stack.....

There is absolutely NO master plan for how to eat-drink-exercise- for the population of any part of the world that is correct.

Leave Trump alone. He can outwork all of you & you are just jealous.
