George W. Bush and his family, an old subsite of memories
My George W. Bush subsite ^

Posted on 11/28/2017 8:50:24 AM PST by mairdie

A subsite within my massive website, devoted to George W. Bush and his family. From a past time when I enthusiastically supported him.

It suddenly occurred to me that this subsite of my website might be of interest to a conservative group like FR. Even though we all were far more enthusiastic over W's potential and kindness back then than we are today. But the images still make me nostalgic for a time when I believed and hoped. Though now I finally believe those hopes might be fulfilled through President Trump. But I still enjoy these old pictures.

It makes me sick to think I voted for that incompetent boob. If it wasn’t for him, we wouldn’t have been saddled with eight years of the affirmative action President and our country would be immeasurably stronger.

I will still vote for any Republican over any Democrat. They would have just gotten us to a our bad position sooner if he’d have lost.

I thought most Republicans were for him then. But I wasn’t on the web. Who were you for instead?

Nice memories. While I suspect this may be one of the kinder gentler replies you receive, I too admired W, warts and all, in no small part because he was the only alternative to Algore who would have been an unmitigated disaster.

George W. rose from what would no doubt have been a mediocre Presidency to lead the nation with strength and resolve at a time when we needed it most. He made mistakes and I wish he’d done many things differently, but I also know that hindsight is 20/20 and time has a way of coloring memory. That said, I am VERY glad we are hopefully at the end of the Bush dynasty, and wish W all the success in the world - at painting.

Although I was hoping for the best, I knew from the start we were in trouble with W and his nonsensical “compassionate conservatism” (read “Leftist Light”). I knew his dad was a loser from the start and feel that making GHW Bush VP was Reagan’s biggest mistake - it lead to 28 years of unconstitutional expansion of the feds and socialism.

And that got ya what? Death, debt and decline?

You still don’t get it. The Republicans were as corrupt as the Democrats, and D.C. and it’s still full of corrupt lying Republicans. Don’t believe me, just ask Trump.

Mairdie has good intentions. But I’ll pass as well. I might get some flak for saying this, but in my opinion George W. Bush was one of the worst presidents in US history. He’s certainly in the bottom five on my list.

So much opportunity wasted...

The bushes might as well change their last name to Obama or clinton.
That’s about how much I care about what they say or do.

I don’t vote for people who are frauds, liars and who allow our country to be over run by millions of illegal aliens during war time and then demand we subsidize every bit of it.

So, you voted for Boosh?

He has disappointed me at such a deep level when he wouldn’t fight back during his terms and when he kept quiet during Obama and when he fought Trump. I stopped contributing to the RNC during his terms and told them they had to fight in order for me to contribute. But, to me, he was infinitely better than AlGore and I shudder to think of Gore leading this country, as I do when I think how close we got to Hillary. I wish he had been better. I’m grateful he stood in place of Gore. And, yes, he should be quiet and keep painting.

Here is a scary thought. Except for the thankfully groundbreaking presence of Donald Trump in the 2016 Presidential race, we might have been looking at nothing but Bush as President on the Republican side since the presidency of Ronald Regan! Three of them. Bush, Bush, Bush. At the start of 2016, the press portrayed Jeb! as the inevitable Republican nominee.

Dallas Texas 2006, during war time, under Republican George Bush.

500,000 illegal aliens march on Dallas Texas pushing foreign flags in our faces and while making demands and threats. All while Bush celebrated Cinco De Mayo up in the White House...During war time.

You got conned and suckered but good.☺

Yes, I voted for him and would do it again to block Al Gore. Even knowing how poorly he governed. His campaign signs are still in my basement. Packrat here.
