AP Claims Trump Supporters 'Confuse' LeVar and LaVar with No Examples

If you do an online search with the headline, Trump supporters confuse LeVar Burton with LaVar Ball online, you'll see that many news outlets around the country republished the story because it originated from The Associated Press!
However, if you read the entire "news" story, expecting to see examples of Trump supporters' online confusion between the two (the insinuation being Trump supporters are racists and see all blacks as looking alike), you would be disappointed because they didn't provide ONE.

Hoft’s headline on GP screamed Lavar Burton. Maybe he changed it later but I clicked on the article expecting to see Geordi. So yeah a major pro Pres. Trump site did say Burton.

The left just loves accusing people of stereotypes.
Roy Moore is from the south so he dated teenagers. I guess they couldn’t find a relative that would take a couple thousand dollar bribe.
And Trump thinks all blacks look alike cause he’s a white nationalist.
And they always accuse black republicans of sexual misconduct. Judge Clarence Thomas & Herman Cain come to mind.

If you can’t back it with facts, discredit the messenger. Saul Alinsky was the teacher in this area. If there is no history, then there is no present or future unless I tell you what it is was his answer to everything. Deny, and then harm the messenger to muddy the message.

Here's a story from Bleacher Report providing one example in Burton's Twitter feed. The story says there haven't been many folks making this mistake - not sure why it's a story.
