It was dramatic enough in the courtroom in Portland when all seven defendants accused of being the "leaders" of the Oregon Standoff protest were found not guilty on October 27, 2016.
But there was more to come as Ammon Bundy's lawyer, Marcus Mumford, argued for Bundy to be released. The federal government countered about a "retainer" on him for the charges in Nevada but couldn't produce any document stating that when asked by Mumford.
They claimed it was "in the office" or something to that effect.
A group of federal marshals descended on Mumford, tackling, tasing him and taking him into custody.
Criminal charges were filed against Mumford but later dropped.
Now the senior federal judge in Oregon (Michael W. Mosman appointed by George W. Bush) in Oregon wants Mumford disbarred from practice in Oregon's federal court.
There will be a hearing for Mr. Mumford to present his case against disbarment in Portland on January 8th with two days set aside for the hearing.
Mumford now has sworn declarations from his legal assistant and the attorneys for the other defendants involved in the trial pointing to animosity towards him by US District Judge Anna J. Brown and US Marshals at the trial.
They speak of "over the top" security from the marshals.

Developments in Oregon and Nevada do make one wonder what “law and order” means in Washington.
Is Sessions out to persecute defendants in Nevada with his praise for the lead prosecutor Steve Myhre?
Sessions praised Myhre for his “leadership” in that case, then claimed he wasn’t taking sides.
The way the US Marshals treated the Bundy’s the other week ordering them to face the wall and stick their noses on the wall was right out of Lubyanka Prison in the USSR.
Is that “law and order” Sessions style?
The guy who pled guilty and had an extra 15 months tacked onto his sentence earlier this year. The prosecutor wanted six years, Navarro gave him 87 months.
Jerry DeLemus was co-chair of Veterans for Trump in the 2016 New Hampshire Primary.
Now he sits in the Devens federal prison in Massachusetts with other guys including one who’s getting out before him named Anthony Weiner.
Sessions is an anti-Personal Liberty Statist (happily) trapped in the DoJ Deep State. That he appointed RosenKrantz to run the place is quite telling.
Can they do a ‘change of venue’? (to a more neutral court)
Too many conservatives cheered government abuse of power during the Bush years.
And many no doubt had enough and voted for Trump to change things.
