My family always had pasta with a red sauce that had lobster, clams,mussels, shrimp and calamari. Christmas Eve was always a no meat supper at my grandparents house. Christmas day we would have roast beef, pork Crown roast and a ham. I believe Christmas Eve was treated like a Good Friday.

I believe Christmas Eve was treated like a Good Friday. That's right. Good Friday and Ash Wednesday are the only true full fast days left according to current law. There used to be a lot more, and Christmas Eve was one of them.
