When people start opining what Christian are supposed to be, It is as simple and reading the New Testament
I think the woman described in Proverbs 31, is the best indication of what Christianity is.
She is diligent, up before everybody else.
She takes care of her family, providing them with her very best.
She provides for her servants/workers and treats them well.
AFTER providing for her family and staff, she’s a hard worker, who earns money from her labors.
With that money, she purchases a field (thus continuing her work and providing for others)
She is described as a woman of noble character and yet she doesn’t take the money she earns and heedlessly give it away to others.
She “considers” a field and buys it (personal property)
If we follow the line of thinking further, after purchasing the field.
The next day, she would arise before everyone to prepare for them. First taking care of family,
then taking care of the servants,
Then she’d hire more servants to tend to her field,
and the ensuing days she would care for them also as she does her other servants.
From the proceeds of that field, she would buy another and continue her ways.
It was written by Santorum?
You’ve nailed it. Covetiness is at the heart of socialism and all its great evils flows from it.
I believe it was Thomas Sowell who once said that socialists are people who never expect to pay a price for their failures ... which is why you find a lot of them in education and the media.
Nope. Next question.

I very much agree. I am a capitalist. My point was simply that a believer recognizes all belongs to the Father (Psalm 24:1). And what we have has been given to us by Him to use, manage and enjoy. We can give as God has blessed us. Its all about our attitudes, its about the heart. Our attitudes about money and possessions reveal much about our true character.
Communism is based on the sin of envymy neighbor has more than I so he should give some to me. When we want what our neighbor has we are murmuring against the sovereign God who created and sustains us. Communism and all of its cousins are systems that legalize theft via the power of the state, but legal or not, its still sinful.
