Operation You Go Girl is right on track.
This week the Pentagon, aka Fantasy Island, issued a report recommending that women (ages 18-25) be required to register with the Selective Service, and if needed, to be drafted in time of war. A draft would subsequently place women in the combat arms; infantry, armor, armored cavalry and artillery, among other units.
Currently, only male citizens and residents age 18-25 are required to register, for a pace of about 2 million each year. Women, whom the government has never ordered to sign up, would add 11 million to the Selective Service System database “in short order,” the report says.
The Pentagon report, titled “Report on the Purpose and Utility of Registration System for Military Selective Service,” argues that a gender-neutral registration, “would convey the added benefit of promoting fairness and equity not previously possible in the process and would comport the military Selective Service System with our nation’s touchstone values of fair and equitable treatment, and equality of opportunity.”
Fairness and Equity? For God’s sake…

Apparently, the military in 2017 is all about fairness and equality and nothing about warfighting.
Fairness and equality don’t win wars and gender neutrality is a one way ticket to a body bag.
When was war ever fair and equal? War is about putting cold steel down range, about killing the enemy and protecting the nation, not about providing equal opportunity to the 5 foot 3 inch high school cheerleader who thinks she’s going to go toe to toe with Joe Habibi in ISIS, or one of Rocket Man’s disciples in the NOKO Army because she’s seen every episode of Xena Warrior Princess.
What is the purpose of drafting women, when we have millions and millions of young men who could serve, if called upon to do so?
It would be one thing if women were going to be subject to a draft that would place them in military jobs that are echelons above God and safe. But, this registration and possible future draft would throw women into the meat grinder that is the combat arms in war.
Serving in the combat arms in a war is an experience that stresses most men to the breaking point both physically and mentally. Now, we’re going to subject the young women of America to the horrors, filth and violence of the combat arms in battle and all because feminists think this a cute idea that will give women equal opportunity and because the military’s senior leaders don’t have the moral courage to tell feminists to shut up and sit down.
The country is potentially sending thousands of women to an early grave to salve the warped ideals of Beltway groupies who will never go within 20,000 miles of a combat zone.
Feminists and the ‘I Love Barry O’ crowd will tell you how women are now physically equal to men in 2017 and that this all part of progress. They will tell you how women are serving in the combat arms in the Israeli Army, which is a fallacy. Women only serve in two combat arms units in the IDF and they are both border security units that guard borders like Jordan, in which Israel has signed a peace treaty with. Or, they will tell you how women served in the Red Army in World War II. Yes, they did, as snipers, when the nation was teetering on the edge of obliteration at the hands of the Nazis.
When America is threatened by Chinese troops at the Rockies, then and only then should we draft Malibu Barbie.
Any person in the world with an IQ over room temperature is aware that women are not as strong and aggressive as men. The Marines spent 36 million dollars in 2015 to prove to the world what humanity has known since man crawled out of a cave; that all male units performed better than all female units and coed units in simulated combat drills and tasks. The women in the study were some of the most fit ladies in the corps. The men were in only average shape. And, so, Operation You Go Girl marches on into oblivion, which is where it is all going to end one day. The Pentagon’s policies are now based on fantasy, coerced by feminists who care nothing for the lives of American women, and only about their power and careers; and driven by gutless US military leaders whose manhood is missing in action, like their moral courage.
It’s more than obvious that no one in the Pentagon, in Congress, or in the White House is going to stop the madness.
Mattis won’t stop it.
Joe Dunford won’t stop it.
President Trump won’t stop it.
Bullets are going to stop it; enemy bullets on a distant battlefield.
The US military is crumbling before our eyes and no one seems to have the guts to stop the bleeding.
God help us all.

Besides, requiring selective service registration does not mean the armed forces cannot determine exactly where best women could serve. Most women would not be fit for combat anyway, so those could fit logistics and support roles and allow fielding of uncompromised male combat units.

This isn’t WW2. Physical demands for combat arms may not have changed much, but the way combat arms are employed is much different. For every infantry soldier, about nine non-infantry soldiers support them, possibly more these days.
If there is going to be a selective service registration, register everyone. If a situation comes down where a draft is necessary, have a system in place that accounts for women as well as all the ‘unqualifieds’ who still have useful skills or could be brought up to speed with training (particularly physical training... Most kids joining the army these days have never thrown nor taken a punch in anger). Women can think as well as men, and most military jobs need brains over brawn. There are jobs where brawn is necessary, and while I’ve know a few Amazon’s in my day, finding them is inefficient, particularly in wartime when throughput is so important. Keep women out of the combat arms pipelines, they will either just fail training at unacceptable rates or force standards to go so low that it endangers not just fellow troops, but overall mission success.
I’m of a different view than most here; I think they should be required to register for the draft. And before I get flamed, kinda hear me out.
1. When I was in, I never wanted some dude on my left or right that didn’t volunteer.
2. The draft hasn’t been used since the early ‘70s, and I personally do not want to see it be used again.
3. And this is the big point of why I think we should register women, it would destroy all the leftist arguments about “militia” and the 2nd Amendment, as anyone registered, is technically eligible to be called up, and is therefore in a “militia”

As someone who served in the US Infantry(11Bravo),when it was all male,I don’t believe this is tied to helping the Military rather to the government trying to coerce women into possibly serving against their will.
Why not do away with selective service altogether?There is enough men volunteering these days.

Women volunteering to be in support roles in the US military has worked well so far. Fact of military effectiveness and survival is to not use the US military as a social equality experiment. Obozo initiated that concept just to weeken our military so it’s a no-brainer, not a good idea.

During Desert Storm, force readiness was seriously degraded by all the female soldiers who got pregnant to become non deployable.

Except for the first part I agree with what you say; however, separate units for women doing the non-combat roles is more what I had in mind. No reason whatsoever why women should be exempt from draft registration.
Getting pregnant to keep from being deployed and other examples of women using their 'feminine wiles' to get what they want in the military is a result of a lack of discipline and good order from the senior NCOs and officers, in other words, a failure of leadership. This could be rectified with the correct female senior enlisted cadre, an idea that hasn't yet been tried, at least in the U.S. military. Make it a separatable offense (with BCD) to get pregnant in the military; as much as possible keep men and women separate physically, and come down hard on fraternization.
It won't be perfect but with the right attitude I think it would work. It's not to punish women that we should make them register, it is to truly bring the equality that everyone says they want, while at the same time preserving the unit cohesion and morale that is essential to effective military operations. That's my idea, and if some of you think that makes me a liberal, so be it.

The problem which you don't see (do fish know that water is wet?) is that the Claire McCaskills of the world will not rest until women are in combat: for in her world, one can conquer ANYTHING through raised eyebrows and the unspoken hint that "this will not end well for you, because I can call the PC brigade and the SJWs and the White Knights and they will END YOU." /smug>
Real battle, and the world outside of the SJW bubble / Anglosphere, isn't like that.

Look at the mass sexual assaults of women throughout Europe by the invading Merkel-sponsored hordes.
In battle, that only gets worse.
But SJWs _always_ double down: they will not be content with support roles, but will subvert the military from combat effectiveness, at best, leading to many men being unnecessarily killed and maimed, so that a few dried up hags (and Perfumed Princes) can enact their own private fantasy of virtue-signaling.
