This weekend I will watch no TV, listen to no football and read no news. Instead Ill watch the chlorophyll challenged trees transitioning to their winter state,
rocks migrating out to sea,
and rivers flowing slowly but inevitably into Lake Michigan.
Maybe Ill photograph some of the famous barns of Grand Traverse county.
Mostly Ill just let the world go about its business without my participation.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend too.

Thanks for the shared beauty.
Very nice pics, esp. the migrating rocks .. thanks !
Great pics.
Thanks.
And, eff the NFL. :-)
Like a traditional Jewish Sabbath. No use of electricity or autos. People still walk to visit each other at home without the TV on. People still have physical books to read.
There are still salmon to be had in Benzonia as well!

Beautiful pics! I want that house........I would never leave. When I was a kid we vacationed for two weeks every summer at a cottage in Traverse City. It was nestled in the woods & a path led right down to the beach. Great memories........ Sandcastles, going out in the neighbor’s glass bottomboat (those brothers were gorgeous, my summer crush!), eating smoked trout on the beach, looking for petoskey stones.
Thanks for the memories & enjoy your Saturday. Hub will have the Ole Miss game on. Maybe we will actually win ; )
GOD’s beauty is astounding.
The pic of the old barn resembles a fine painted masterpiece.
Beautiful post.
I’m originally from Northern Michigan, and Autumn is my absolutely favorite time of the year up North. The pictures were stunning, thanks so much for posting. Made me homesick.
On my bucket list to spend time in that part of the country. Beautiful.
Sounds like the best plan for reducing stress!
