At their workplace, they do not have First Amendment rights.
Wrong...they absolutely DO have those rights in the workplace. No one is saying 'lets make it illegal to protest during the national anthem'...we're not leftists, whose raison d'etre is to make anything they don't like illegal. It is legal, but inappropriate, to protest at your workplace, as such, your employer has the right to take punitive action against you for doing so. And we the people have the right to withhold our support, and money, against people we see disrespecting our nation.

I agree, but First Amendment protections are not in the workplace, where you are an at-will employee.
You can say whatever you want, but the employer can fire your butt, and the First Amendment is not a defense against that.
