Former first lady Michelle Obama lamented Tuesday that the lack of diversity in the Republican Party and Congress as a whole is part of the reason why the American people don’t trust politics.
Speaking with television producer Shonda Rhimes at the Pennsylvania Conference for Women in Philadelphia, Mrs. Obama said she noticed the stark contrast in diversity and “color” between the two parties every time she attended the State of the Union address while her husband was office.
“Usually at the State of the Union address … when you’re in the room, what you can see is this real dichotomy,” Mrs. Obama said, according to videos of the event. “On one side of the room, it’s a feeling of color almost. On one side of the room, it’s literally gray and white. Literally, that’s the color palette on one side of the room. On the other side of the room, there’s yellows and blues and whites and greens. Physically, there’s a difference in color, in the tone.
“Because on one side, all men, all white,” she scoffed. “On the other side, some women and some people of color. … I looked at that and thought, ‘No wonder we struggle. No wonder people don’t trust politics. We’re not even noticing what these rooms look like.’”
Mrs. Obama said women and minorities will probably “continue to struggle” unless there’s a major shakeup in Congress and more white men become willing to give up their seats.....

I lament the fact the Democratic party has chosen to put in positions of power people for whom the are, be it race,creed or gender and not merit. I lament a party that sends to our halls of power men and women who think islands can tip over,who believe Austrians speak Austrian and who buy into every divisive movement in the nation.
Yes, i lament further my fellow Americans who see only color where they should see common ground, those who think the genders are in a perpetual state of war.
Lastly i lament we live in a nation where the political class protects themselves first and those to whom they are responsible second, a nation where justice has several meanings, where the ruling classes transgressions can be overlooked while the common man must fear for his freedom.
I’ll text Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and let him know.

I suppose it’s just jealousy that engenders such animosity?
We live in a world where merely acknowledging some obvious facts is taken as evidence of white supremacist leanings and hatred of people of color...that’s just so wrong :-/
God does not love anyone more or less based on their IQ.
IMO, those blessed with intellectual gifts also have an obligation to help others whenever possible....this is right and proper.
Just imagine the anger this simple post would create in certain circles....it would actually lead to physical violence.
I accept that there are people a great deal smarter than I am...this does not make me angry or jealous. I enjoy the company of such gifted people...I find many such people right here on our wonderful FR.

Perhaps she should remember that that all men, all white GOP is the group that voted in the Civil Rights Acts of the 60’s over southern democrats that tried to keep the chains on the blacks in the south. And if I remember right, that, the Emancipation Proclamation in 1862, and the 13th Amendment in 1865, are the only US acts that tried to stop the racist actions of the southern democrats in our nation’s history. And they were all voted in by republicans from the north led by Abe Lincoln.
Remember that, Michele? Probably not.......

Michelle’s husband wasn’t born the same natural kind. Michelle was born the same natural kind but she can only be naturalized in Africa. The land of her kindred blood.
The Founders limited naturalization to their natural kind. Adding other natural kinds woukd be UnNaturalization and that woukd be unConstitutional.
Congress illegally unnaturalized the country after WBTS.
Tell me again which party had a presidential primary slate of four old white men and one old white granny.

Uniform rule of naturalization is limited to skin color.
So, basically, White men are innately evil and should be replaced.
