The NFL allowed players to use the league’s national stage to disgrace the flag and the anthem. The NFL also chose to take the players side against the leader of the free world, when he rightfully called those players out. As a result, it appears the league may have done irreparable harm to its brand.
The ratings for Monday Night Football on ESPN tanked hard in Week 4.
According to Yahoo! Entertainment, “Coming off last week’s Dallas Cowboys’ 28-17 win over the Arizona Cardinals, where the ratings actually went up for MNF, last night’s game was not a victory for the Disney-owned cable giant nor the NFL in the early numbers.

It can’t be understated how bad these numbers are for the NFL. But first, some will say that Kansas City is not a major-market team and that has something to do with the poor performance, especially coming off last week, which featured Dallas and Arizona.
That point is not without merit, however, the Chiefs entered last night as the only remaining unbeaten team in the NFL. Throughout NFL television history, an unbeaten team playing on Monday night has always equaled ratings, regardless of market size. Not to mention, the Redskins come from a top-10 TV market. Which also makes up for KC’s smaller market size.

The unwashed masses that the democrats claim to represent cant afford to go to a live game of football. if the seats get cheap enough they will go and I bet theses limousine liberals who still go to the games will stop going because the real truth is they look down on these people and do everything to structure life in the cities they live in so that there families are not exposed to the poor. eventually it will be gang member central. at this point it is ticket prices that prevent that but in cities like los angels or Detroit this will happen.
Ratings go up for the Cowboys and decline for almost every other team.
The hood rats have an additional benefit of robbing beer, hotdog
and other food and merchandise venders.
If these ratings do not improve the NFL is toast.

And provide free transportation to and from the games.
On one end of the spectrum, you have outraged fans burning their NFL gear and season tickets. On the other end of the spectrum, you have fans who are still going to games, yet in Liberal Baltimore, these fans were booing the SJW language coming from PA announcer......”please stand for equality and justice”.
I’m sure a lot of those “booers” know people who are boycotters. And this is the big danger for the NFL.
Rooting for a team is contagious, and so is losing interest in a team.
When a whole city is excited about a game or a playoff series that their team is competing in, it creates a communal sense of euphoria. Everyone knows that it’s just a game, and that the players are no angels. But for the sake of everyone sharing a nice feeling together, they can focus on the positive.
But when you have die hard fans, the kind of people who went to tailgate parties, and arrived hours before a game to cook burgers in the parking lot, and these fans are burning their NFL gear, it has a psychological effect on the other fans.
What’s a party, if half the gang isn’t in a partying mood? A party that ends pretty quickly with a mood of discontent.
I live in San Diego. I am so happy that we said no to the Spanos’s. They carpet bagged to LA. Their problem.
