That doesn’t look like a ‘muzzle loader’...................

Ah, I’m embarrassed to admit that I never noticed it is a “bolt action” rifle.

No wonder it exploded! /s

Shooter shouldn’t have tried to force the powder and load down the barrel like a muzzle loader.

Primitive weapons hunting season allows for the use of bow-and-arrow and muzzleloaders, and extends deer season.

Besides traditional rifles, there are “in-line” muzzleloaders which resemble bolt action rifles except for the way they are loaded. Look for a ramrod under the barrel.

I did not see a ramrod in that video but yes, one way to blow up a barrel is to load a charge down the muzzle while forgetting there is already one in the barrel. Kaboom!
