Dear NFL,
You were doing your part to bring people together and heal the world. Thats really how healing works. We heal by loving each other and leading by example; showing people what is possible when we love each other just as we are and not only recognize our differences but celebrate them and look at how we can use them together to make us jointly better than our separate parts. You were doing your part celebrating each other based on skills, talent and a joint vision without regard to color and religion.
You were doing your part and we were doing ours. We showed up cheering and groaning together to as one. We talked in the concession lines and commiserated and celebrated our team together. Did it ever occur to you that you and we were already a mix of backgrounds, races and religions? We were already living the dream you want, right in front of you.
Your desire to focus on division and anger has shattered what many people loved most about the sport. Football was really a metaphor for our ideal world -- different backgrounds, talents, political beliefs and histories as one big team with one big goal -- to do well, to win, TOGETHER.
You are asking us to abandon what we loved about togetherness and make choices of division. Will we stand with you? Will we stand with our flag? What does it mean? What does it mean if we buy a ticket or NFL gear? What does it mean if we dont? It is the polar opposite of the easy togetherness we once loved in football.....

The problem here is not connecting the dots to the democrats who created racial divisuon when Obama through the abuse of his office and the Bully Pulpit began creating victims out of blacks engaged in criminal activities who were not just resisting legal arrest but responding by attacking legal authority and endangering their lives .
Until this get exposed along with its political purposes which was creating racial division and a impeachable proof barrier as the continung political discourse which has been expanded to include white guilt will continue.
When blame the cops for cold blooded killings started by Obamas it was through his use of the Bully Pulpit. It began with his comments during the Zimmerman trial. Those inspired at least 10 deadly assaults ending in death of any non black who wandered near or in hoods controlled by members cf black ganags. One such noteable case is that of Christopher Lane an Australian murdered by Crypts while visiting Duncan Oklahoma. (I think the figure is more like 20 racially inspired murders)
Obama was never held accountable for his inflamatory remarks. And because he wasnt he contunued hammering away creating a wider racial division targeting police authority which resulted in cops being targeted and murderd in cold blood.
THIS IS NEVER BROUGHT OUT WHEN THE NFL ACTION GETS DISCUSSED...
Angry Jesse Ventura reaction coming in 3.....2......
HA! I was JUST about to post this one from Daily Mail UK. Glad to see it here.
Taya is correct. These “men” should get UP OFF THEIR KNEES and do something REAL if they trulyl give a crap about their so called cause......
Personally, I’ll not watch a single football game this year as my protest as teensy-weensy as that may be.
I think a brilliant idea would be to boycott the NFL weekend of Sunday, Nov. 12 in honor of Veterans Day. How could we get this idea to go viral?????
You should have posted the entire letter. To me the remaining portion is quite important. She goes after the players:
It was simple - we loved you and you loved us - with all of our races, religions, different backgrounds and politics.
Simplicity in a crazy world was pretty awesome.
You dear NFL, have taken that. You have lost me here.
If you ever want to get off your knees and get to work on building bridges, let me know.
I have found screaming about the problems in service marriages or even standing in silence in front of them, hasnt healed even one of them.
On the other hand, funding the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, building a team and rolling up my sleeves to get in the trenches during my ‘off time’ -volunteering there outside of my paying jobs - has proven to make real change.
You have a lot of strong guys, I am sure in the off season a lot of them could build some pretty big bridges if they care enough to do the hard work.
That would involve getting off their knees and getting to work though.
I can do it while I raise two kids as their only parent and work through the greatest pain of my life, lets see if they can do it for the issues they say they care so much about.
Go Longhorns and Sic Em
Sincerely, Taya

Well yes Obama had a big part
BUT
The main reason for the situation was and still is the WHITE LIBERAL MSM
Night after night of lies and BS with absolutely no attempt at getting the truth out
Now they are optional. I mean, as a news source, what could be worse that that.
People all know by NOW that if you want the news and the facts... you have to go elsewhere.
The MSM is just a place for people with small characters, one dimensional reasoning capabilities and inadequate education to go for snarky, trash-mouthing and laughably biased editorializing. It certainly isn't a place you go for the facts.
The main reason for the situation was and still is the WHITE LIBERAL MSM
Early indoctrination at the grade school, high school level are the real cause. Brainwashing all day long. Parents don’t realize it as their training duties are usurped.
Cradle to the grave propaganda. Your kids aren’t yours.
Communists ruin everything - even sports.
Fox News does not own the copyright to Tara Kyle’s open letter. There was no need to excerpt it.
Any Fox News publication must be excerpted and linked here.
You didn’t have to even link it. It was an “open letter”. There is no copyright on an open letter. It’s free from copyright on the basis that it is intended to be freely distributed to everyone. The source was not Fox News. It was Tara Kyle.
wow.
She’s said it better than anyone else has. This is an amazing letter.
There really is a simple answer to this. Change the narrative. Equate those kneeling with Joann Chessmard, the black communist who killed a cop and fled to Cuba. That’s what this is about.
Hashtags go global quickly. #BoycottNFLonVetsDay
The problem we have is that we have equated participation in sporting events as some sort of social function worthy of religious adulation. The NFL has always been about money grubbing, whether it was the venal owners or the scumbag players, not about patriotism or moral leadership or anything else that people like this use flowery language to describe. I think the disrespect of the national anthem by sports teams is execrable and reprehensible, but I haven’t been one of those who threw large sums of my money at any professional sports team for tickets, concessions, and attire. Maybe vapid and shallow people who build their lives around the purchase of season tickets and sports gear will finally wake the hell up. Yeah, right...
“Hashtags go global quickly. #BoycottNFLonVetsDay”
How would I do that? I do not have (and refuse to have) Facebook or Twitter. Suggestions?
Others here on FR may have alternatives methods, I just don't know what they are.....
I have an idea....will post a thread asking about it. Someone may take up the cause.
