NBC's Megyn Kelly said in an interview that "there are so many reporters who are completely biased against Trump, its absurd," but also noted doesnt change the fact that he puts them in a dangerous place by targeting them."
Kelly's interview with TVNewser.com published Friday comes as her new 9:00 a.m. ET program "Megyn Kelly Today" is set to launch on NBC as the third hour of "The Today Show" on Monday.
The 46-year-old former attorney also believes reporters are being roped into personal battles with President Trump instead of staying "on the sidelines where they belong."
"Its not the way it used to be, being a journalist today," said Kelly, who jumped from Fox News to NBC in January after 13 years at the cable news network.
"He [President Trump] is effectively, and not just him, but his most ardent supporters, have made us players on the field instead of on the sidelines where we belong," she continued.
Kelly was routinely attacked on Twitter by candidate-Trump following the first GOP primary debate on Aug. 8, 2015 after she asked the president about his past derogatory comments about women.
A backlash quickly ensued from Trump, who said of Kelly at the time that during the debate, "blood was coming out of her eyes. Blood was coming out of her, whatever," during an interview with CNN's Don Lemon.
Kelly never hit back at Trump personally during the rest of the campaign on her Fox program or social media.
"Thats not to say theres not media bias," she continued in her interview with TVNewser.com. "There are so many reporters who are completely biased against Trump, its absurd."
But while Kelly says the media by-and-large is "extremely biased" against the president, he also is putting the press in a "dangerous place by targeting them."
"Hes right that theyre biased against him. Theyre extremely biased against him. And some play right into it," Kelly observes. "They do themselves no service with that tactic. But that doesnt change the fact that he puts them in a dangerous place by targeting them."
Kelly laments that seemingly every event on TV has become political, including last Sunday's Emmy Awards that included a cameo by former White House press secretary Sean Spicer.
"Why cant I watch the Emmys without seeing Sean Spicer? What was he doing there? Cant I just watch the fabulous gowns? Cant I have an escape? Must everything be political? Everything? Everything! Im sick of it. And Im not the only one."
"Megyn Kelly Today" will be shown before a live studio audience starting on Sept. 25.
Lets see if we can come up with an acronym for poor Megyn.
FRTHOR (Failed Reporter too hot to retire)
LJSSAV (Lost job so stripping at Villages)
TMADQ (Throw me another Dollar Quick)
That’s what I thought too— trying to get attention thru Trump.
Well now yer just tryin' to drum up some free poontang, aintcha Grampys? You better hope they put some nice Viagra in your med cup that day, amirite?
Girl, seriously? Seriously?
This ground-breaking book from the 70s helped women enter the boardroom as the first wave of "liberated" female college graduates hit the ground. It was basically the men's formula for proper business dress, modified very well for women.
The formula for men's "dressing for success" has changed very little over the yearsjust a few changes in the styling or cut here and there, but basically it is covered up, dark or muted colors, a shirt, tie, tailored trousers and jacketbut liberal women have departed radically with low cut, tight-fitting, sleeveless dresses in garish colors, with heavy eye makeup and no stockings, a look very few women can pull off successfully. The heavy women look like uncooked chicken flesh in a plastic wrapper, and even the slender women give the appearance of business-class hookers, like Megyn did when she moderated "that" debate.
Can you say that again, but this time in English?
Thanks, Grampy.
NO, I'll say it in your language...So you can share it with your DACA HOMBRES...
Aburrido de su principio a su causa final eres celoso!
Sorry, ese. Don't speak beaner either. Try again.
And now .. Nick Danger, Third Eye!
Oh, piff. The media attacks Trump, they put themselves on the playing field.
I love the ‘referee’ analogy and we should ALL start to use that often.
The media is like the ‘blind referee’ at a wrestling match who is always calling out one side in the corner, while the other sides sticks their thumb in the eye of the American people behind his back
.....MeAgain finally realizing if she’s lucky, she might get 127 viewers to watch her new show.
