POLL: Who is right about the Graham-Cassidy Obamacare bill?
Rand Paul: "another big government boondoggle"
President Trump: "A great Bill"
I'm not sure
ping
Where are those watchful eyes which saw that Obamacare was a mere Trojan Horse for implementing socialized medicine?
Rand Paul, much as it pains me to admit he’s right on something.
If Diogenes were tasked with searching our Congress for one honest man, Rand Paul could prove to be one of the only potential candidates.
Option 3: It’s a lot better than ACA is currently but it’s not a great bill either.
Half of healthcare GDP was already taken over by the governments (medicare, medicaid, VA, etc). This barely increased it, TBH.
The main point is to REPEAL Obamacare.
Anything can be adjusted later, without any issues.
Considering there is NO Authority in the US Constitution for the Federal Government to be involved in the Personal Health Care of the citizenry.
THEY ARE BOTH WRONG.
How can you say that, when exactly what you’re saying has always been Rand Paul’s point? Just as it was his father’s.
“another big government boondoggle”
piss poor description, how about a Direct Violation of the Constitution and the American Citizens in an effort to take over their personal decisions regarding their own health care.
or
This is a Soviet Style takeover of the US Economy and the very lives of the citizenry with NO Constitutional Authority .
or
Every last Rat Bastard here that votes to overthrow the US Constitution by casting a yes vote on this should be EXECUTED FOR TREASON
or
....
but a boondoggle? come on, pretty frikkin weak.
Rand Paul is the ultimate bite off his nose to spite his face kind of guy.
It never ceases to amaze me how the two lone voices in our Congress, Ron and Rand Paul, that have EVER consistently stood up to point out the unconstitutionality of the actions of our government...
ALWAYS TAKE MORE HEAT FROM OUR OWN SIDE THAN WE PLACE UPON OUR ACTUAL ENEMIES!
Who’s side are you folks really on, anyway?
Not so. Rand Paul is exempt from Obamacare. So is his family. If he can prevent the repeal, of Obamacare, he is unaffected. It will continue to destroy ordinary Americans, but it won’t harm Paul.
He is cutting off our nose to spite our face.
FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. (multiple votes using multiple internetz devices are allowed!) And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)
If Congress doesnt repeal Obamacare by September 30, repeal becomes exponentially more difficult. Paul supporters argue that the same swamp that refused to repeal Obamacare when it was easy will repeal it when it’s strenuously difficult. That kind of thinking goes beyond cognitive dissonance to border on the psychotic.
That’s not an argument I would make.
I’ll take this deal over none at all, but that still doesn’t make it right, nor does it make Rand Paul wrong.
It makes Paul wrong if his vote is the one that kills repeal. Not that he cares. He and his family are exempt from Obamacare, so he has no skin in the game.
I am certain that the true powers arrayed against us would like nothing better than that outcome, and are likely “negotiating” to that end if they, in fact, intend for this not to pass.
Marginalizing the Pauls whenever they point at government overstepping its bounds, is required and automatic. They need someone to be a reminder to others of how marginalized you can get if you do that.
That way, they can say to the rest of us “Rand Paul thinks that! You can’t possibly agree with anything he thinks, can you?”
