Benoit cherry picks his attacks on the ‘ancient alien’ body of science, preferring to highlight some of the least notable people and events. He also seems willfully blind to the orders of magnitude difference between the sub-Saharan African architecture and the rest of the ancient world.

Benoit does raise a good point about wanting to preserve ancient ruins in Africa and how ‘alternative’ narratives might damage the tourist industry that keeps these sites going. However, it seems pretty clear he's got a bias toward African archeology and origin of man theory.

I thought it was enslaved Jews who built the pyramids, under the architectural direction of Egyptians, who, it must be noted, were tribally distinct from many other tribes of Africans—just as tribes of early Europeans (Picts, Celts, Gauls, Vikings, Teutons, etc) differed from one another in physical appearance, culture, dress, and so forth.
