Ah, the Emmys. It’s just another award show that panders to those that believe everything they hear on both the news and politically-driven entertainment shows.
Perhaps the most laugh-worthy quote of the night came when “Saturday Night Live” cast member Kate McKinnon won her second straight Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a comedy series.
In accepting one of the many false idols that Hollywood likes to dole out on a yearly basis, McKinnon gave a special shout out to former Democratic presidential nominee for president Hillary Clinton.
“On a very personal note, I want to send a thank you to Hillary Clinton for your grace and grit,” McKinnon said as her time ran out and they began to play her off the stage.
Grace and grit?
McKinnon must be referring to Clinton’s recent book release in which she blamed everyone and everything but herself, save for a couple of comments she regrets, for her loss to President Trump in last November’s election.
It could simply be that McKinnon owes a lot of her fame to Clinton, because McKinnon positively portrayed Clinton on “Saturday Night Live.” Her fame certainly isn’t a result of her role in the failed “Ghostbusters” reboot.
It’s shocking that people still can’t grasp that their candidate lost. It happens every four years. One person wins, one person loses. The only difference, depending on who wins, is who is upset for the subsequent four years.
These radically liberal award speeches aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, folks.
