President Trump spoke after his bi-partisan meeting with members of congress and said that individuals in the middle class will definitely be receiving tax cuts, the corporate rate must be 15%, and the rich will either stay where they are or have a slight increase on their tax rate.
Wednesday morning Trump tweeted that congress must work swiftly in passing the tax reform package.
The approval process for the biggest Tax Cut & Tax Reform package in the history of our country will soon begin. Move fast Congress!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 13, 2017
"I think the wealthy will be pretty much where they are," Trump said at a meeting with lawmakers at the White House when a reporter asked if the rich will see higher tax rates.
"If we can do that, we'd like it. If they have to go higher, they'll go higher, frankly. We're looking at the middle class and we're looking at jobs," he added.
"More and more we're trying to work things out together, and it's a positive thing and it's good for the Republicans and good for the Democrats," Trump said.
Trump is doubling down on the 15% rate for corporations and 'focusing' on the middle class, but after meeting with democrats including Pelosi and Schumer the president appears to have conceded on any tax cut for the wealthiest Americans.

Lay down with dogs, get up with fleas.
Resurrect Hermain Cain’s 9-9-9 plan!
If Trump defines wealthy as $250K and up, I’m done.
Bannon was floating the idea of raising taxes on those making $5 million and up in an effort to get more votes.
So, the people that pay the bulk of the income taxes and create most of the jobs will not receive a tax cut, or possibly see their rates go even higher than 39.6%?
How will this motivate the productive to create jobs?
At least bring back income averaging, which I think vanished during the Carter Administration. That way, middle class people who become wealthy through hard work and innovation will have their newly higher income spread out over their former “drought” years, their years of struggle.
Karl Marx would certainly have loved the idea.
All of that, in exchange for AMNESTY. And all of that will be for naught, once the Dem’s flood states like Florida, Georgia, Arizona, NC, SC, Tennessee, Kansas, to name a few, with millions of Democrat voters. Creating a Dem dynasty that will roll back all of the tax cuts and any spending cuts, finally destroying this country. The Democratic Party does not work with anyone. Hell, they don’t even work with themselves. But, the Republicans are a common enemy and they come together for that fight, just like muslims. The only outcome acceptable for the Dem’s is, they get what they want and you don’t get what you want. Hard to believe this president thinks he can outmaneuver them, especially when he doesn’t have support from his own “alleged” party.
While no means a policy maker or talking head, I’d be willing to bet that getting rid of the illegals will: lower peoples property taxes-which to me are more onerous than anything the IRS does, lower the spending that state and local governments are now burdened with, lower crime, lower the amount of money spent on welfare programs to undeserving people. All of that will put money in peoples pockets, just as much as an income tax cut. But, throw in some income tax cuts and that’s just gravy.
I really hope I’m wrong.
Yep I would say 500 or more and up IF it has to be this way, if Republicans had a spine it wouldn’t have to be this way. But since I’m not wealthy I’ll take a cut. 3/4’s of a sandwich is better than no sandwich.
.
Total non-starter!
The “rich” are the upper middle class job creators. They deserve the biggest cut.
.
Well, corporations are obviously all entities like Exxon and GM and nothing at all like Joe’s Flower Stand or Jane Smith, CPA, so it’s impossible to convince any Democrat that lowering the rate to 15% helps the middle class. /s
I think it was still around in the '80s, but I could be mistaken.

One detail you may be missing:
The “Kingdoms of the Earth” have only 7 more years left, according to the word of Yehova.
The scam ends right there. The “Day of Trumpets.”
.
Exactly.
The devil is in the details with defining who is wealthy according to our all knowing and all powerful elected leaders.
Given how cozy Trump’s getting with the democrats, I worry about where this is headed...
They are also the people who are sending us jobs abroad and tearing down our borders. the more we cut taxes for them the more they want to spend.I used to agree with you but I am now reversing. They should be taxed hard as long as they continue their rino backstabbing or elite lib ways. These people are also the one who own the lying lib media or are like the rich Republicans refuse to buy media because they are so feckless. If they are going to be so feckless when it comes our concerns then I am very open to be feckless when it comes to theirs.
Reagan had the sense to do an across the board tax cut, lowering the top rate to 28%.
And Reagan did it with a democrat-controlled House!
I saw the Presser.
It is unfortunate, but dealing with Dims is necessary in order to get anything done.
As we all know, the Republican Party has multiple factions, and cannot come together as a UNIT on most issues.
So it’s either “Do nothing” or find a bipartisan coalition that can agree on a few things such as tax cuts for businesses and middle class.
BTW, a lot of the Wall Street types who are going to get tax increases due to closing of loopholes are ... Democrats.
But fear not. They will still make tons more money on the Trump tax-cut ECONOMIC BOOM.
It’s easy to get to 50% on those top dollars with just income taxes if you’re in CA making decent money:
Fed: 33%
CA : 10.3%
FICA 7.65%
SDI 1.2%
A. I don’t care if the rich don’t get tax cuts. So they might not get to be super-rich instead of just rich. Cry me a river.
B. If “laying down with the dogs” is the only way to get anything done, then I’m glad to see it. Obviously, The Republicans in Congress have made it CRYSTAL clear that they have no interest in Trump’s agenda or success. If they’re pissed off because he’s meeting with Chuck ‘n’ Nancy - good. Maybe they can learn that failing to cooperate has consequences.
C. Not having tax cuts for the rich AND working the Schumer and Pelosi on taxes completely takes away the RATS’ ability to use their standard “tax cuts for the rich!” complaint. If they use it ANYWAY they’ll just look like fools.
I’m still waiting for President Trump to announce he’s going to meet with the Democrats to hammer out a new health care system for everyone. This will make the Republicans heads explode and bring them back to the table on repealing Obamacare AT ONCE.
