What happened to “Game Wardens”?
Oregon fish and wildlife don’t mess around.
I see them “posing” with the rack, the weapon used...and their near black, OSP truck, w/ blacked out windows and roll bar, while wearing their black tactical vests and stern frowns... so they can look all tough guy.
Image is everything, to those with small penises and low iq's.
OSP goes after big time trophy poachers. ODFW are the guys who ask you if you have a fishing license, and tell you to throw the small ones back, maybe.
Jeez, the way these guys are armed up would make Barney Fife proud.
I guess none of you guys have interacted with the Pennsylvania State game warden.
Arguably one of the most powerful LEO forces in the state. The PA hunting enforcers (from forestry to the game warden) have complete control here.
Now the forage is gone and blackened, those that have survived are pushed into areas that they might not normally inhabit.
Rest assured that the State Game Department, in their insatiable quest for money, will not change any policy or rule to try and protect the survivors until forage returns to the burned areas.
The truck behind them says Oregon State Police.
Nice rack.

A friend of mine took on the PA Game Commission and won several hundred thousand dollars from them after they unlawfully arrested him for illegally killing a big game animal. (elk)
He had an orchard and they relocated the elk to a forest adjourning his orchard. He warned them and warned them and after much frustration, he solved the problem himself.
Another friend of mine took on the PA game commission and the Commission pulled the old Catholic Church trick of relocating the warden to an area where they did not know him and his background. (That was after the warden got the crap beat out of him for cheating with a guy's wife.)
PA Game Commission comes on strong, but tends to lose in court when challenged. The rural rednecks from Pennsyltucky tend to stick together when the going gets tough. I grew up as one of them. I would not want them as an enemy.
Fish and Wildlife investigation used to under the purview of the Oregon State Police.
What ever happened to “SSS”?

I got in trouble in the 7th grade once, for saying that.
Which, now that I’m old, is why it’s fun to say.
Me too!
Hah ! Good to know !
I got pulled over in the Delaware Forest while commuting my 150mile commute. When I commute in the winter, I pack a 72 hour survival kit including a bow and arrow.
Well, when the trooper saw the bow he called the game commission to circumnavigate me. I finally just gave them the bow to leave me alone.
Woulda been better off with a rifle in the car - except if I get pulled over in NY or CT where the rest of my commute took me.
Hoyt Medallion in carbon graphite. Loved the whole setup.
They tried the same thing on another friend of mine. You have a shotgun so you are hunting. His reply "My fishing rod is back there too, am I fishing?
