And even 2 days prior they didn’t have the predictions right.
But we should all listen to their ideas of what will happen in the next 50 or 100 years if we don’t give up cars (and horses) and air conditioning and meat eating and industry and...
Sheesh.
Harvey didn't effect any areas. The areas were already there.
It may have AFFECTED some areas.
Guess that’s why it’s called a 500 year storm.
Connections to climate change coming in 3,2,1.
It’s a hurricane.
My grandparents used to live in Florida and they told me about them when I was a kid.
True story!
Hilarious.
It is exactly like every other hurricane ever.
But to push the narrative, they have to hype every storm ever.
Hmm...clouds, wind, and rain, all together! Well, I’ve never seen the like.
I’m grateful that Obama and Hitlery aren’t president at this time. Obama was spiteful to Texas on numerous occasions (elections have consequences).
Is Trump getting blamed yet?
For once the weather forecasters were actually right. Just terrible.
Has that bloated tick Al Gore waddled away from his hooker massages and proclaimed Harvey is Trump’s fault and is caused by Global Warming?
Last time i was in houston i was told tbat the city is near or below sea level. We got stuck in a newly built housing area with water coming over the cars frame sill into the car after only about 2 hours of rain
..the streets in that development flooded that fast.
What does weather service mean when they the’ve seen nothing like it? Total rain? Total damage? Total flooding? Maybe they’ve heard of worse, but they’ve never SEEN worse.
So the Katrina people who went to Houston will now go where?
Dallas? Kansas City?
OT, but it’s been bugging me about this event:
The Weather Channel should be ashamed of themselves.
This is an unusually bad storm, but their 24/7 alarmist catastrophic “be very afraid, be very very very afraid!” broadcast is shameful.
Our daughter is in the area - in a safe area - and this constant barrage has her mother a nervous wreck.
Yes, I know, ‘turn it off’ (don’t bother if that’s your reply); but, it’s hard for a mother to not stay with the coverage.
They do it for viewers, I realize that, but they could show some responsibility, report the facts, inform people instead this.. I dunno, ambulance chasing, constant hype of everything.

I haven’t seen anyone mention it on the news, but it seems to me that there is some similarity between Harvey and Hurricane Allen in 1980. Allen was a category 5 hurricane and one of the strongest hurricanes on record, with sustained winds of 190 mph. Prior to its arrival, Texas (and to a lesser extent other parts of the Central U.S.) were experiencing one of the worst heat waves ever recorded. Central Texas had more than 40 days in a row with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees. Weathermen were starting to discuss the possibility that this “heat dome” might actually become a permanent feature. As record breaking Allen met the record breaking heat dome, Allen stalled offshore until winds decreased to 30 mph before coming ashore. While stalled, up to 20 inches of rain were dumped on south Texas. I’m surprised that nothing has been mentioned about it.
I actually had some idiot state to the effect the following in response to my comment about the hurricane drought and lack of extreme weather the climate change nazis predicted:
“Down here in Houston we had more tornado warnings and watches yesterday than the national weather service has ever before called. We go from years of drought to repeated flooding events. Currently some of the worst flooding we’ve ever seen from a hurricane that didn’t even directly hit us. Seems like weathers getting pretty extreme to me.”
Gotta be global warming! It couldn't be a political agenda, since with no one EVER questioning their data, who's to know? It's consensus. (And deny anyone who disagrees.)
