Kathy Griffin shares bizarre grovelling letter: ‘Send this to Trump or your career is over’

COMEDIAN Kathy Griffin has posted a bizarre, grovelling letter she claims she received from a high-powered US TV executive and was ordered to forward on to US President Donald Trump in the hopes of rehabilitating her career.
The controversial comic weathered her biggest scandal yet in June when she posted footage from a photo shoot in which she held a dummy Trump severed head aloft. Reaction from both sides of the US political divide was swift and brutal, and Griffin apologised as networks and brands rushed to disassociate themselves from her.
The scandal certainly hurt Griffin’s career — and also saw her questioned by the secret service. In a post on her Facebook page today, Griffin shares a bizarre letter she says she was sent by a “current member of the Board of Directors at CBS”.
The TV exec strongly advised Griffin to send a grovelling letter they drafted direct to President Trump in her own name.
“DON’T CHANGE A WORD OF IT,” the exec warns. “I have spent the last hour and a half composing this letter ... IF YOU DON’T DO EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN, YOUR CAREER IS OVER.”
The TV boss advises that sending the letter would be Griffin’s “one chance” to “possibly get over this mess.”(continued)
