Such links may have already been posted on some of the many, many threads on this topic - but can anyone (re)post links on the FACTS (as opposed to MSM/NeverTrump spin) about "Unite the Right" and their Charlottesville rally? Thanks!
The citizens didn’t decide to remove the monuments. The politicians did. The same politicians who allowed a KKK and a Nazi rally in their town.
Removing monuments has a Taliban ring to it.
I have a feeling that with the new FBI chief in power, the leftists are getting itchy. Their only real way out is a coup:
1. Get a bunch of rallies (astroturf) and have Antifa attack them.
2. Remove the police, then blame the “racists” for the violence.
3. Repeat until calls for martial law and removal of Trump become so loud no one pays attention to indictments or the FBI gets so bogged down they disappear.
These groups (Spencer and Kessler) are astroturfed, so they’re not going away. The only way to get rid of this is to have actual Trump supporters go down and rebuke them. It shouldn’t be too hard.
If the politicians did it against the citizens will, then the citizens can vote them out when the time comes. Thats how the system works.
Unless you live in Charlottesville, I really don’t know why you’d care. Or do you make it a practice of monitoring towns in which you don’t live, and what monuments they put in or remove?
And they “allowed a KKK and a Nazi rally in their town” because this is America, and we have a right of free assembly. Ever heard of the Nazi’s marching in Skokie?
Bkmrk.
Can't find any support for that. Can you provide a link?
“And they allowed a KKK and a Nazi rally in their town because this is America, and we have a right of free assembly.”
No you don’t. They cancel rallies all the time if there is a threat of violence or disruption. One of Trump’s events was canceled due to the threat of Antifa violence. It is possible to say “no” to events. UVa canceled all sporting events on Saturday. Where was their right to assemble?
You have the right to assemble but not anywhere you choose.
Yep. Unite the Right was nothing but a front group for Soros and the Antifa movement.
Useful Idiots for the left.
You have a right to free assemply. They applied for and got a permit. You can’t just deny a permit because of a threat of violence or disruption. If you did that, then you could stop ANYONE from having a demonstration by simply making a threat from the other side.
Here’s some reading on the subject: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Socialist_Party_of_America_v._Village_of_Skokie
Can’t say I know much about Kessler or Spence. I have spent the last several months lurking at 4chan and since that is where I heard of this rally. My sense about “who they are” is that they are pretty much a 20 something version of freerepublic. I could be wrong because I do tend to attribute most of the Nazi stuff to StormFront trolls and shills. Why? Because they promote StormFront. Doesn’t seem to be unreasonable to me. In fact what I have seen the last two days is a number of them longing for the old days before the StormFront trolls discovered their board. They started out as a group of young kids who shared a love for video games. They got pissed when Steve Bannon screwed up a video game they like by letting Chinese businesses sell profiles for cash. They ganged up on him and bankrupted his company. They learned from that that they had power. The used their power to trash a gamer development girl that was sleeping with a gamer media guy for good reviews. They then used their power to trash Hillary all over the internet. They were big Trump supporters. Some still refer to him as THe God Trump. Do they have altars where they burn incense to Trump? I don’t think so. They were the ones that memed out Deplorables, not us. About that time Hillary’s people realized the threat they posed and they were awash in trolls and shills.
I get my info about the alt right from them because I figure that 4chan is who they are. Most of them don’t have much respect for ecelebs. They turn on the ecelebs pretty viciously for selling out just as they turned on Bannon and the girl and guy who were shilling their video game products. Sorry, I don’t get my info from them from the celebs that claim to be their “leaders”. For one reason I don’t have the time to watch all the YouTube videos and another, they don’t seem to have any leaders. They seem to live pretty much in a virtual world of anarchy.
These are my perceptions.
You’ll notice that Antifa didn’t get a permit. That’s because they know it wouldn’t be allowed. It’s why BLM didn’t get a permit to block a highway. They just blocked it.
They turn down permits all the time. They can make you pay for the security which is very expensive.
Charlottesville wanted these two rallies to happen and they got what they wanted.
The conspiracy is getting thicker. Charlottesville WANTED this to happen. They lured these two groups together in the hopes of triggering a riot in their sleepy little community....How dasterdly.
Think the Feds were in on it too? The UN maybe? I wonder how far up this conspiracy goes.....
UTR has first amendment rights too. They even got a permit.
Do I have these facts right?
McAuliffe stepped in took control of the local LEOs
Revoked UTR's permit after the march was in progress
Showed up to grandstand
Which got 2 of his security team killed when their chopper crashed
When UTR was told to disband and leave they did so
A few hours later the car incident happened
From the videos it appears the counter protesters were well armed with clubs(like the SA from '26 till '33)
As the car came down the hill you can see clubs flailing and things flying (including people)possible already under attack
By the time the car comes into full view it already has some speed(I'd say about 35-40)
At least 2 other cars are blocked and surrounded in the intersection
The car comes to a halt and is instantly surrounded and attacked
The car then surges forward smashing into the 2 cars in the intersection
The attack on the car intensifies
The car reverses and speeds back up the hill hitting counter-protesters who are trying to block it.
Here’s an unspun fact: ahead of the event, https://altright.com/2017/08/05/the-unite-the-right-rally-is-going-to-be-a-turning-point-for-white-identity-in-america/ noted with approval the participation of Daily Stormer, whose website has a prominent section on the “Jewish Problem”.
Which is certainly not to say that every conservative in attendance was an anti-Semite ... but it seems there were genuinely nasty characters involved.
Information is leaking in, but it’s being recorded at reddit’s the_donald. He worked for CNN supporting Occupy and his LinkedIn only lists his activity though he graduated in 2009. He was paid $1,200 consulting for a Democrat candidate Charles Malone.
Apparently, all of this mimics the coup that occurred in 2013 in the Ukraine. This eventually led to some nationalists taking over the government from Russian control, which led to the Russian take over of Crimea. This will probably escalate next week with the actually right wing free speech rally. Again, attendees will leave, will be funneled towards Antifa, then the police will be told to stand down and watch the violence.
95% of that group was a bunch of pizzed off white people who are sick of seeing our southern heritage destroyed. A freeper there on the ground said he never saw a Nazi armband or the KKK. Maybe there were one or two and naturally the press took picture after picture of it.
The problem I have with 4chan is that they seem to be in a feedback loop over there where the entire objective is to be as outrageous as possible while also being immune to the consequences of their outrageousness.
I can’t figure out if the 20somethings who are the heart of this movement are sincere or just caught up in some bizarre play-acting that they don’t really understand. I’m 43 so it’s a generation removed from me. I grew up with grandparents and uncles and “old timers” who fought in Europe so the idea of even play-acting Nazi ideas would feel like an insult to them. The WWII generation was dying out as these guys grew up. So maybe the experience is different. I don’t know.
Interesting. Thanks.
Reeks of a setup.
