I believe it was the chetniks fierce resistance made the Germans spend precious months fighting them and delaying operation Barbarossa.
That delay led to the Germans not obtaining their early objectives and made the Russian winter hell on earth for the wermacht.
If I’m correct all of Europe and Russia owe the Serbs a great debt.

It is to be hoped that the role of President Clinton in his actions taken against the Serbs be remembered. The reports of mass graves of Muslims and so on.

Wish we could turn Bubba and Bubbette over to the Serbs for war crime trials and send all the Bosnian muslims, here and there, back to Albania where they belonged.

I recommend the book The Forgotten 500 by Gregory A. Freemsn (New York: Caliber, 2007), which not only tells the story of the rescue of the 500 airmen but explains how Yugoslavia was betrayed to the Communists in large part because of a Soviet agent planted high in the British policy-making establishment. It also explains why this incredible mission has remained virtually unknown to the general public.

Talk is cheap. I would like to see some concrete evidence. Like unsealing the documents still under the wraps.
The entire operation Halyard was classified for 60 because U.S. sided with the Communists in Yugoslavia to overturn the ligitimate government.
Farfetched? Ploesti oilfield was liberated by the Soviets in AUGUST 1944. 15th Air Force continued to bomb Serbia and slaughter Serbian civilians in meaningless bombing campaigns till MID September 1944.
More Serbs were slaughtered by USAAF and RAF than by Luftwaffe. Only on Easter Sunday 1944 over 2000 were killed in Belgrade, thousands killed in Nis and Leskovac. And the Serbs were American allies.
