The U.S. is deporting people more slowly than during the Obama administration despite President Donald Trumps vast immigration crackdown, according to new data from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
From Feb. 1 to June 30, ICE officials removed 84,473 people a rate of roughly 16,900 people per month. If deportations continue at the same clip until the fiscal year ends Sept. 30, federal immigration officials will have removed fewer people than they did during even the slowest years of Barack Obama's presidency.

Obama's numbers were bigger only because he changed what was counted as a "deportation."
Before Obama, Mexicans caught near the Mexican border, who were offered and accepted the option of voluntarily returning to Mexico without a deportation hearing were NOT counted as "deportations" (since they were never ordered deported but voluntarily left immediately.) Knowing that Mexicans returned at the border typically only retry entering at a different point later (and recounted with every turnaround) they were never considered as significant as real "deportations."
The Obama Regime began counting those millions of voluntary returns as "deportations."
The numbers of these fake "deportations" of Mexican illegal border crossers has plummetted because the number of illegal Mexicans trying to crash the border has plummeted because Trump scared off so many of the invaders.
Of course trump’s deportations would lag behind Obama’s. Obama counted an arrival at the border that was prevented entry as a “deportation”. Under Trump, few are even trying to enter.
Obama had full cooperation amongst the crats and the RINO’s, Trump only has opposition...not to mention the courts.
Eight years vs six months.
Trump didn’t start his term wishing to be a carbon copy of Obama.
On immigration Trump doesn’t need the excuses you post.
The point of the thread/post is that - apart from the lies of the media - the reality is that Obama’s deportation numbers were lower and not higher than Trump’s.
They probably also count every deportation for repeat offenders. One person could could rack up 10 or more, inflating the numbers. It’s probably accurate speaking in a matter of statistics.
Fewer people to deport.
‘Removals’ are directly proportional to the number of illegal entries. They were pouring in under Bammy now it is a trickle.
Quick, call Trudeau, we need the number of self deportees. Oh, and thank you Canada, we’ll miss them.. NOT!
Then I'm sure we won't hear any crying when ICE hires 10,000 more agents & ramps up interior enforcement.
Catch and Release was counted as deportations.
If this is true then why are the Libtards going absolutely nuts over Trump’s deportations? They should be hailing Trump as a humanitarian who is not trying to separate families, blah blah blah.
