I was state high school spelling champion of Virginia in 1984, long before “to stune” and variants became a standard FReepologism.

“They were all very smart, but ignorant of the world and lacking common sense, professors included.”

Correct-That is the entire problem. I wonder how they will do when they leave.

They really live a sheltered and unrealistic life. We are their safety net and they have so much to learn.

Well, I was never a spelling champion, and I didn't even know that stune was a word--or that awsome wasn't.

The origin of “stune” and “beeber.” Even my 80-year-old mother uses “beeber” now, and “stune” also has a surprisingly wide usage.

“Awwwwwwwsome” could take off as a description of kittens ...

I hate to be a neologism cognoscente, but what's a beeber?

"He had one the week before He was stuned and asked how the agent knew and the agent said its best you dont know and he let them cross no big deal"

I thought stuned meant intoxicated.

...just shows what I know!

Is that chick for real, or really just satire?

Seems too over the top for reality.

What a self-entitled bee-yotch!

Now you know. A beeber is any kind of small, electronic item, such as a cellphone, iPod, tv remote, voltmeter, etc. My batty son Pat once pointed a pocket calculator at our priest during Mass and yelled, “Father Hawker! I stuned you with my number-beeber! Fall down!” I wished the earth would swallow me up, but it didn’t.

Beebers can stune or be stuned, depending on context.
