Moms Demand Action and Everytown for Gun Safety over the weekend began running a meme showing a Florida state concealed weapon license purportedly owned by George Zimmerman layered over a person with a Marksman air pistol shoved haphazardly into the waistband of their jeans.
“Some states have low or no standards for who can carry a concealed weapon in public,” says the text over the ad.
“The NRA’s latest pet policy would make the weakest state gun laws the law of the land, allowing dangerous people to carry concealed guns in every state in the country,” said Moms Demand Action in the post urging lawmakers to decline support for a pair of national concealed carry reciprocity bills.
The measures, the H.R. 38 and S.446, respectively, would expand carry rights nationwide, in effect forcing states and local jurisdictions to respect all valid concealed carry permits, a move the advocates feel is a mistake which would lead to a “race to the bottom” to recognize permits from states with no training requirements and slim vetting.
The groups, backed by former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg have retained a big-name Washington, D.C.-based advocacy firm to help with future legislative pushes and has promised to spend as much as $25 million to defeat the push.

Or you can simply follow the United States Constitution “The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”
If Zimmerman was not carrying, his name would have just been another in a long list of statistics, you know, kinda like all of those victims in Chicago. Based off the autopsy report on Martin, he also may have already expired from the advanced liver disease discovered.
I rarely travel outside my state (Colorado), but I can see this as a good law.
Zimmerman has been thankfully out of Breaking News for the last few months. I still hope he can find a normal routine of anonymity, and get on with his life. In some aspects, his life will never be the same, nor that of his family.
If Megyn really wants some attention, she should interview Zim’s family (his parents and brother) and give us an update. I’d be interested to know how they’ve been surviving, assuming they are still in this country.
So what will they propose, Trayvon’s Law? Moms demand action? I thought SorASS’ puppets were more creative. How about a name change, like Moms Impugning Legal Firearms, or MILF for short?
Thugs Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown are convincing enough reason to HAVE IT. That way as we free and law abiding citizens of this country can travel freely and safely among the 50 states . . . I can’t imagine traveling to Chicago or Baltimore or fill in the blank without my concealed weapon.
To the left, we should ignore a jury verdict and still treat Zimmerman as guilty of murder, yet honor a judge’s ruling, based on nothing but his own opinion, that Trump’s travel ban should be blocked.
I was with my elderly Aunt while she was receiving Dialysis treatment.
The Woman next to her who I became friendly with was watching the TV when the Trayvon / Zimmerman story came on.
Being a Liberal, she was aghast that Zimmerman shot poor little Trayvon. She started going on and on about Guns and looked at me waiting for some positive reinforcement.
I said, you know the difference between me and Zimmerman?
I would have unloaded the entire Magazine into that punk Trayvon if he attacked me.
Needless to say she was shocked. She looked at me and said, are you a Republican? I replied in the affirmative, telling her I am also an avid Gun Owner and NRA Member.
Her response was priceless, “but you’re so nice”. LOL

Um... Zimmerman acted in self-defense AND WAS ACQUITTED.
He should be the poster boy for HAVING a gun, which probably saved his life, and surely saved a lot of future victims of “St. Skittles of Trayvon”
