Radio signals can be up to 15 seconds behind the TV(pretty boy) broadcasts. The solution is for radio stations to DELAY their broadcasts to coincide with the snap of the ball. The social commentary we are FORCED to watch is pushing us away from live broadcasts-radio is the way if they'd give it to us.
“Bet you $5 they score a touchdown on this play.”
Easy solution: watch with the sound turned off, and refuse to be manipulated by the pink-gloved propagandists!
There are several syncing apps like ‘RadioDelay’, and there are radios like ‘SportSync’ with delay features.
If radio is already up to 15 seconds behind TV, how does a further delay get them caught up?
jotto-I didn’t know that.

You complain the signal is 15 seconds behind the TV but you want to DELAY the radio signal?
Radio is live. It’s the tv that’s 15 seconds behind.
There we go.
I like to listen to the homer Husker Football Network radio broadcast when I watch my Huskers on TV. I generally cant stomach the idiot network broadcast team on the TV. I have an easy fix that might work for you if you have a DVR. I pause the video on the TV until the video catches up with the audio. I hit the play button when the ball is snapped on the radio and bingo, we are synced up. I usually have to repeat the process if they delay the start of action due to commercials running long but it generally works pretty well. I listen to games on the TuneIn Radio app on a bluetooth speaker so they are usually about 15 seconds behind what is happening on the TV broadcast. Your mileage may vary.
The same thing happens with college in my area. The downside to delaying the radio, is if you’re at the game and like to follow the radio broadcast.
Some sports events on internet streaming are a few seconds to 2 minutes behind cable/live broadcasts.
It has to do with how the technologies deliver the event.
I would think that the radio stations owe it to the ticket buyers to make their signal live for this few in the stadium wearing walkmans and binoculars. Still, if the team was AWAY-why not?
My friends: you are a wealth of information. I just found out the delay was due to the ‘wardrobe malfunction’ from the Super Bowl-remember that? Ties right in to our favorite stuff here. The left is always doing that. Now it wants as many transgenders in the military. They can always blame it on something else, like homophobia. Smart.
My husband is a HUGE N Y Giants fan. He still lived in CT in 2008, and we were talking on the phone during the last few minutes of the Superbowl game vs the Patriots.
For whatever reason, my TV reception was running about 15 seconds ahead of what he got, so I knew how it ended before he did. It made for an interesting few seconds there.
That’s what I do with Gator games. I much rather listen to Mick Hubert, whenever I can.
Try SiriusXm radio as an alternative
If and when I watch NFL football games I always turn down the TV volume and listen to the radio. I cannot stand the TV commentators and the chicks with the microphones who interrupt and talk about some players personal situation. I know what is going to happen on the TV about 10 seconds ahead of time. The Super Bowl TV delay time is about 30 seconds.
