A true church does not confuse its message, either — by placing politics above its Christian mission.
Socialism is cynicism about society:SOME writers [e.g., modern “liberals”] have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. IMHO "Let not then your good be evil spoken of” pretty much excludes allowing socialists to slander Christianity with unopposed cynicism. But if you oppose socialists on religious grounds you will be accused of “politicizing religion.”
