The arrest of Pakistani Imran Awan as he tried to flee the country is an enormous story. I’ve followed it since February, when the House of Representatives Sergeant-at-Arms banned Awan and his brothers from the House computer network.
The Awans provided IT consulting for 40 Democratic members of Congress. They had full run of the networks, computers and files of these elected officials and their staffs. The amount of damage they could have done (and now it seems likely, did do) is inestimable.
The Awans have links to a Hizbollah-related fugitive, and they’re deeply involved in money scams, extortion, and threats of violence. Now the FBI raided Awan’s home and customs officers arrested him at Dulles airport trying to flee.
But this morning, the Washington Post (“Democracy dies in darkness”) has no mention of it on its home page. New York Times: Nada. New York Daily News: fuhgetaboutit. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN: Nope.
The affidavit filed by the feds only references “a scheme to defraud a Congressional Federal Credit Union.” But that’s not why the House Sergeant-at-Arms banned the Awans from the government network. It’s not why Schultz kept Imran Awan around as a “consultant.”
There’s more to this story, and probably a lot more. But the leftist media would rather report on Trump’s tweets, his speech to the Boy Scouts, and who will play 007 in the next James Bond movie.
And they wonder why nobody in America trusts the main stream media.

No. Her real concern is the exposure of what democrats and the Awan clan were really up to in the House IT department. They had access to everything that went through the house including Classified material.

She’s been negotiating with them about her laptop, which the police have, but can’t read anything on because of the law protecting the privacy of Congressmen. Pretty sweet deal, no one else has that privilege.
The Washington Post has a spun up story dated just before noon today. Looks to me at least like this is an arrest with a future. The Post is attributing it to anti-Muslim bigotry because they are saying it is a minor charge, which I can buy, but it gives investigators time to get their ducks in a row if there is something bigger.
Memo to Cong Schiff: While you were busy trying to debunk Trump, you turned a blind eye to your low-level office help....spies working in your Congressional offices.....accessing US govt computers containing intelligence that involves the safety and security of Americans.
The Pakistani Awan gang worked exclusively for Democrats. The gang had access to numerous intel agencies centering on Americans’ safety and security.

Let’s start with the basics. He wire-transferred money out of the country...who was it sent to? Those are co-conspirators. Yet the identity of the recipient(s) has not been released. Why not?

Or it could be she is afraid he will cop a plea in exchange for valuable information against her.
They said it was real estate related. So maybe he sold a piece of property and deposited in a way that violated the law or something. His wife (who is already gone) is thought to have bought a round trip ticket but will not be returning.

Is there the tiniest chance that the Awan Brothers had no relationship with the ISI, the original architects of the Taliban..?

If he did this it would give him a place to get his messages out without the constant censoring and distortions of the main stream media, and also let people know that there are alternatives to the DNC propaganda media outlets/MSM.
If POTUS did this they (MSM) wouldn't be able to get away with killing a story.
IMO the number one problem in this country is that people think the MSM consists of brave journalists looking out for their best interests, when in fact- every single MSM outlet is an echo chamber of propaganda spouting far left socialist ideas.

Possible. IMO she doesn't want the guy to hand over everything that he has to the FBI.
