Mitch McConnell Collapse – No Obamacare Repeal Or Replace
Hidden Americans ^ | 07/18/2017 | Richard Saunders

Since 2010 Republicans have run on repealing and replacing Obamacare, but when the opportunity came the Senate leader couldn't muster 50 votes for a core GOP promise. Even spineless establishment globalist Paul Ryan was able to corral his caucus into passing a repeal and replacement of Obamacare. It's time for Mitch McConnell to put up or someone else lead the senate and GOP caucus.

McConnell was playing both sides of issues during the healthcare debate in the Senate. He was telling conservatives that bill provided massive reforms down the road and telling moderates that the reforms in the bill would never see the light of day. Wisconsin senator Ron Johnson told the Green Bay Press-Gazette, "I am concerned about Leader McConnell's comments to apparently some of my Republican colleagues — 'Don't worry about some of the Medicaid reforms, those are scheduled so far in the future they'll never take effect,'" he said. "I've got to confirm those comments ... I think those comments are going to really put the motion to proceed in jeopardy, whether it's on my part or others."

"Many of us, one of the main reasons we are willing to support a bill that doesn't even come close to repealing Obamacare ... was because at least we were devolving the management back to the states, and putting some level of sustainability into an unsustainable entitlement program," he said.

Johnson concluded, "If our leader is basically saying don't worry about it, we've designed it so that those reforms will never take effect, first of all, that's a pretty significant breach of trust, and why support the bill then?"

McConnell is a snake who has already lost the trust and confidence of his caucus and isn't competent enough to pull his team together.

"Regretfully, it is now apparent that the effort to repeal and immediately replace the failure of Obamacare will not be successful," said McConnell. "So, in the coming days, the Senate will vote to take up the House bill with the first amendment in order being what a majority of the Senate has already supported in 2015 and that was vetoed by then-President Obama: a repeal of Obamacare with a two-year delay."

@SenateMajLdr Get the job done or we need a new leader. 7 years later, this is pathetic. Also end 60 vote super majority. #EpicFail— Sean Hannity (@seanhannity) July 18, 2017

Now that repeal and replace is dead in the senate, McConnell and other GOP leaders have called for a clean repeal vote, but within hours the RINO caucus in the senate has already come out and killed repeal.

New McConnell health care plan doesn't make it to lunch: Murkowski, Collins and Capito OPPOSE motion to proceed - and others likely to also— Manu Raju (@mkraju) July 18, 2017

Trump's nominees for his administration are stuck in the senate, tax reform is dead in the senate, repeal and replace is dead in the senate, this is McConnell's senate and McConnell must be repealed and replaced. These massive GOP majorities in congress will be wasted and 2018 will be a bloodbath for the GOP if nothing is accomplished.

Johnson is either stupid or disingenuous.

McConnell is just stating the obvious. If Johnson can't figure out on his own that cuts scheduled to take place in 4 years may never happen he should probably find a new line of work.

If Trump had any understanding of the healthcare/insurance system, he could have been out there selling repeal to the American people. Instead we get “everyone will be covered”, “the bill will be great, the best bill”, “you’ll see, it’ll be great!”, “everyone will be taken care of.” The man is clueless. Leadership is what we need, and that should be coming from the prez.

Correction, Schumer IS *itch McConnell’s friend. They are two peas in a pod - happily SCREWING America and Republicans who voted for these pigs.

We need a new Party - like maybe the Conservative-Libertarian Party, or the Conservative-Populist-Libertarian Party.

The GOP must DIE as a party - the sooner the better. Their Congressmen are all gutless frauds.

The next time I get a solicitation for a contribution from them, I will tell them graphically where they can put it.

60 of 60 Democrats voted Ocare.

Only 3 of 52 Republicans voted Ocare.

Elect more Republicans!

Designated Losers know how to lose.

There is no "win" in this situation. The candy has already been given to the baby and anybody trying to take it away is going to be tarred and feathered by the Democrats and the leftist MSM as heartless monsters. Obamacare is well on its way to collapse and Obama and the Democrats are still tagged with responsibility for it. All the Republican's have to do to come out of this smelling less like crap than the Democrats is keep their hands off of it.

Not good for John-Q-Public (who is not exactly blameless in this fiasco either) but not a bad situation for the Repubs to be in as once the chaos reigns for a while they may have a chance to get a few free market reforms implemented. That is when their "losers know how to lose" nature will come to the fore.

We need a Freedom Caucus in the senate. All repubs must belong to it or it or they walk.

McConnell colludes with the crooked Democrats. Paul Ryan does, too. They like their swamp and want to keep their swamp.

You got it! The Chamber of Crony Commerce and the big insurance companies don’t want to compete so their representatives in the Congress did their bidding and essentially told them, screw the people, we own you, vote accordingly slave. Mitch and the rest of the liberal Republicans bleated yes master and bent over in full compliance.

This will not end well for the Democrats, Republicans or even worse for the country. Trump will be the only beneficiary.

I do not think they understand the anger brewing within the GOP grassroots/base and within the voters who voted Trump into office. If this crap continues, I see a lot of senators being primaried out of contention, via Eric Cantor.
