A basic income really could end poverty forever

No, it will not.

Poverty will simply be redefined. The income will be deemed "insufficient to meet basic necessities" and we will be off again.

How do I know?

Real true poverty is totally unknown in the US. Yes, even among the homeless.

Congratulations! We have succeeded in getting rid of poverty. Except you just redefined what poverty is.

And so here we are.

Quite frankly I am tired of hearing the same old "bright new idea" from the same imbeciles decade after decade.

Please remove yourself forthwith to a place of great heat.

does this whole idea of "letting" people out of work anger anyone besides me?...

I'm 63 and still work, part time, a hard job....

please, someone "let" me out of work and pay my bills for free....I'll be waiting...
