Cannabis cotillion: Luxury cannabis brand Beboe debuts in S.F.
The San Francisco Chronicle ^ | July 7, 2017 | Carolyne Zinko

As canna-business strategist Elise McRoberts walked across an animal skin rug and into the living room of a Pacific Heights home for the recent San Francisco launch of Beboe, an upscale cannabis brand from Los Angeles, she assumed she would see the usual faces on the marijuana circuit — growers, dispensary owners and cannabis chefs.

Instead, the party was a cross-pollination of the worlds of high society, Silicon Valley, politics, fashion and design: industrial designer Yves Béhar, former Mayor Willie Brown, who carried decriminalization bills in the state assembly in the 1970s, philanthropists Katie and Todd Traina, boutique owner Emily Holt, salon-booking service founder Melody McCloskey, sustainable development designer Reed Woodson, venture capitalist Joshua Kauffman, yoga veteran Zander Gladish and social entrepreneur Gwendolyn Floyd, among others.

“I’m used to going to cannabis parties where I know everyone in the room,” McRoberts said, “but I only know one person here. It’s most stylish and fabulous setting for a pot party I’ve ever stepped into — the type of party I’ve always wanted.”

That was just the way Beboe co-founders Clement Kwan and celebrity tattoo artist Scott Campbell had planned it. Kwan, a UC Davis grad who went on to work in luxury fashion (Dolce & Gabbana, Yoox), grew marijuana to pay his way through college. Campbell’s grandmother, Be Boe, fed his cancer-stricken mother pot brownies to assist with nausea during treatment.

Now that cannabis is recreationally legal in eight states and the District of Columbia, the two men see a niche for products that carry an air of respectability.....

Even a single marijuana overdose can be fatal.

All it takes is smoking 240 joints in a row.

“The Obama administration.”

While the Odumbo administration would like to have been running the US with him as the dictator, that didn’t actually happen.

So again, I ask you: What totalitarian nation on earth today that pushes their people to be intoxicated/medicated so they are more easily controlled?

It’s ok if you can’t come up with one cuz’ there aren’t any. :)

And you have to smoke the 240 joints in 15 minutes to make it happen lol.

The stuff is way strong compared to the pot in my drug days. I know two people that smoke it from morning until bedtime. They are alcoholics, also. The two substances together seem to be worse than either one alone.

“The gays and the potheads want us to believe they are the establishment now.”

I’ll agree with the bit about homosexuals trying to convince the world they are “normal.” They’ve been showing that BS down our throats hard for the last 10+ years.

The “pothead” thing though, not so much.

How do you quantify a “pothead”. Someone who smokes a bowl in the evening after work? Someone like me who uses cannabis medicinally is a “pothead”? Someone who only uses cannabis at home on the weekends is a “pothead”? What’s YOUR definition of a “pothead” & how do you come to such a determination?

Hope you’re having a solid Saturday, VT :)

Many of their lives are essentially devoted to getting high.

The Founding Founders prized "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" in that exact same order, not "the pursuit of happiness, liberty, and life".

If the FF sorted the sequence as per the latter, eventually we would lose all three.

Cannabis is certainly sticky. I use alcohol to clean the sticky oil off my vaporizers after 2-3 uses. I use alcohol to get it off my hands & never have an issue with it. YMMV :)

These self-destructive potheads prove the correlate of Darwin’s ‘survival of the fittest’, namely, non-survival of the unfittest.

One of the most disturbing, disappointing things to me, the number of my fellow Americans who get stoned on a regular basis. Sad. Very sad.

The answer in not smoking or vaping but edibles

These days they are experts at making chocolates. Candy etc and you can get the medicine easily and control it with no health negatives

There is also CBN which is not really psychoactive but is very effective medicine

In short cannibis is medicine. It should be treated with respect because it’s very powerful medicine

If you eat too much brownie. It put you to sleep. Just right is about 10-15 mg Gives me good energy lasts about 4-6 hrs.

It’s not for everyone. And smoking anything is basically stupid

But it shows how powerful the plant is It’s been around 5000+ years

There’s nothing new under the sun

Cheers.

Soros is the current force for totalitarianism, and he is the leader and major funder of Team Pothead.

Good luck denying it.

And the potheads declare, “me love Soros long time!”, as any good ho would do.

the potheads want us to believe they are the establishment now.

Some seem to; certainly others just want government to leave them alone; and still others probably present pot as established/normal as a tactical move toward the goal of getting government to leave them alone.

Relegalization for adults is the liberty-respecting policy - and I support it although Soros has never given me a dime (nor given me any reason to expect any in the future).

Hi theStickman! This thread is about recreational potheadism, not medicinal use.

Waiting for my personal favorite chemical to take its effect on me this morning: caffeine! :)

Hope you’re having a good one, too.

“Soros is the current force for totalitarianism, and he is the leader and major funder of Team Pothead.”

Soros would definitely want the world to be under totalitarian control for sure. However, this doesn’t answer my question:

What nations on this earth today push their citizens to be inebriated or otherwise intoxicated so they are easier to control.

Should be an easy answer, right?

“And the potheads declare, “me love Soros long time!”, as any good ho would do”

So you dive back into the intellectual cesspool of fallacies once again to prove nothing at all. If Soros is funding the cannabis legalization effort, why aren’t you posting links to articles to prove it?

“Sorry, I am like Trump. Don’t drink alcohol and don’t do drugs.”

Nothing wrong with that. That’s freedom in a nutshell.

So will you answer my question? Why are you sad that your some of your fellow Americans are getting stoned?
