Putin is an adept power-patter, adding a paternal pat to his shakes with world leaders in a bid to register dominance
It was a meeting of two strong personalities. There was a powerful man in the room, and it wasn’t Vladimir Putin. It began with a backstage meeting at the G20 Summit. Mounted cameras caught the whole thing.
Trump knows how to walk into a room. He’s charismatic and shaken by no one. With the confidence he exhibited approaching the Russian President, I almost expected the American President to say, “Trump, Donald J. Trump.” (cue secret agent music) It was a strong handshake with Trump’s powerful personality slathered all over it. It seemed to launch a private joke. They both looked as if they were on the edge of a chuckle. But, as they shook hands, Trump reached with his left hand to pat the underside of Putin’s arm.
Love my President!
What about the back rub? Does that one have a name?
Why didn’t he grab Putin by the crotch? That REALLY would have shown who was boss.
Obama tried that. It did not make him boss.
I breathlessly await the next analysis of the Trump-Putin handshake.
Trump and Putin conversation only supposed to last 20-25 minutes turned into 2 hours; thus, making libs go catatonic.
A CNN reporterette was surprised that Putin didn’t act superior to Trump, dominating the scene like he did with Obama.
This is not a 97 pound weakling like Obama is/was/will always be. Libs are baffled, befuddled, and bewildered.
Trump da man. Obumbo was good with a teleprompter, but was lost on everything else. Trump may be juvenile at times with the tweets, but when the lights go on, he is more Presidential than anyone......in a long, long time.
My God, Hellary would have needed a cane to stand there like that and handlers to get her off the stage.

Believe me, I know ALL about double-fisted handshakes, and brother, that was NO double-fisted handshake: that was Trump’s special double-secret probation handshake! And it’s proof positive that Trump and Putin conspired to steal the election from Hillary!

Whatever points of difference they may have, whatever points of agreement; they both understand the deranged folk that have been doing their best to undermine the cultural achievements of the ages, in the name of all sorts of "make believe" projects that benefit no one but demagogues & scoundrels, even as they make deranged water carriers feel important.
Wow... I didn’t see that video before. Trump looked so at ease. I wouldn’t call it “dominance” per se... but it did make Putin look smaller. Trump is all smiles and bravado, and Putin looks like he’s scared to death of this big American.
We need to quit making this meeting into a pissing contest. If the two leaders can talk and forge a mutually beneficial relationship then the world will be the better for it.
Tese are two of the most powerful and informed men in the world. It is reasonable to assume they had much to discuss.
