Actually, there's a parallel to this in French history: Eugène François Vidocq

He started out as a criminal, then went straight and got appointed head of the Sureté by Napoleon, then lost his job under the Bourbon restoration, then organized a burglary which he pretended to solve and got his job back under King Louis-Philippe.

Then when it was discovered that he had organized the burglary, he got fired again.

His life story inspired a lot of 19th century writers, notably Balzac, who modeled his fictional arch-criminal Vautrin on him.

All this is barely mentioned in the French press.
The guy is a known nutcase, a vagrant, without the wherewithal or abilities to
act on his internet babblings.

“No, not Muslims preachers who want to enslave woman kind and humanity under Sharia law. No, they’re not far right. No, no, no. Never.”

Well, err, no, they’re not far right at all, they are just totalitarian, and the system they espouse happens to be so far left it is off the charts- Imams control everything, but no one controls the imams, the law is what they individually and collectively say- the pure oligarchy of the left, including what one believes.
