President Trump's weekly address was amazing today. He spoke as a forceful leader expressing strength and wisdom about the attack on Republican congressmen. He spoke about the dignity of work and that all jobs are a source of pride.
It's the first time I've heard a President speak so forcefully about what made us great, and what we as people have to do to return to what we can and should be as a nation.

....he challenge has been a significant divide between the skills companies need and the training and experience workers have. Whaaa, you mean a degree in Useless Studies doesn't immediately set you up for a six figure job?

We had this 40 years ago, If you wanted unemployment you hyad to physically go down to the office and if there were any jobs you were qualified for they sent you there. It was also required that businesses post their job openings at the unemployment office for 2 weeks before being allowed to advertise for employment.
this was in California in the 70’s
