His explanation made no sense at all. He leaked two sentences from his notes because “there might be tapes”. If there were tapes, why would anyone need two sentences of his notes???

Comey put his foot in his mouth. Hopefully someone will put cuffs on his wrists. Those were not his memos to leak. They were notes from a confidential executive branch meeting. Any lawyer would know that was both unethical and illegal. Leaking them was illegal.
Not a crime?? It was done to get a special prosecutor in place.....which takes the pressure off the FBI.
After pondering a bit....I'd say this little report went to someone beyond his buddies.....like Lynch or Hillary herself.

Comey LIED UNDER OATH about the reason and timing of his leaked memo. He said he gave the memo to his friend because of a tweet that President Trump had sent out, defaming him and the FBI.
......except that it is a matter of public record that the NY Slimes was already reporting on the leaked memo the DAY BEFORE President Trump made the alleged tweet. Comey therefore LEAKED CLASSIFIED INFORMATION and then LIED about it while UNDER OATH before the Senate.
Comey proved today that he is a lying, cowardly drama queen and President Trump was absolutely right when he fired Comey.
