Hillary Clinton bashed President Trumps newly-unveiled federal budget plan on Tuesday, saying the plan reached an unimaginable level of cruelty.
Clinton gave the keynote address at the Childrens Health Fund Annual Benefit on Tuesday night just hours after the Trump administration revealed the details of its first major budget proposal. The former Democratic presidential nominee sharply criticized the plan.
"This administration is mounting an onslaught against the needs of children, people with disabilities, women and seniors, Clinton said.
"Poverty is neither a crime, nor a character flaw. Stigmatize those who let people die, not those who struggle to live," Clinton continued, quoting from an essay in author Sarah Kendzior's book "The View From Flyover Country."
Trumps budget proposal seeks $1.4 trillion in cuts to Medicaid over the course of a decade and $1.5 trillion in non defense discretionary cuts. It also seeks to cut $274 billion from anti-poverty programs, including $193 billion in cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the modern version of food stamps. It also slashes the budget for Disability Insurance offered through Social Security. Trump pledged throughout the 2016 campaign to not cut Social Security programs.
Clinton has emerged as a fierce critic of Trump after keeping a relatively-low profile following her election loss. In late March, the former Secretary of State blasted Trumps initial budget proposal, specifically for its cuts to the State Department.
This administrations proposed cuts to international health, development, and diplomacy would be a blow to women and children and a grave mistake to our country, Clinton said at the time.
In April, she took a swipe at the administration saying she was pretty worried as an American. And earlier this month, Clinton announced the formation of a new political action organization, Onward Together, which will fundraise for five prominent progressive groups.
Actually, it's both. Poverty in the USA is a manufactured condition. Globalists of the Democrat and Republican parties have displaced 95 Million American workers with their immigration policies, outsourcing, offshoring, tax policies. Those were crimes against humanity.
Forcing half the working population onto government dependence programs is both a crime and character flaw.
Yet character flaws and criminal activity can lead to poverty.
Not a slave. SSDI was paid
for after 43 years of
contributed taxes. Can you
honestly tell me that after
you retire (it you’re not
already), that you’re going
to tear up your EARNED
government issued check?
It’s YOUR money.
I didn’t say mine would
be cut, only there are others like me,
who have paid their
dues, who will have a
lot tougher time than I
trying to collect what
they worked for.
As evil as the system is, those that work are
forced to pay into a system
that is fraught with
corruption and abuse.
More poverty than ever under Obama and we can’t cut obama era anti poverty programs? But there shouldn’t be any poverty since anti poverty programs work so well. Right?
Many criminals never stop unless incarcerated of eliminated. Witness Hillaryous Rotten Criminal and her psycophants and enablers.
AARP, AARP is looking for a new spokeswoman.
Hillary qualifies, she earned every wrinkle in her crooked face.
Shut up Hitlery, you lost.
re: “Childrens Health Fund Annual Benefit “
Hey Hillary!! Is this money being raised for all those kids at that private island that you and Bill visited?
The cruel part is having to listen to Hillary.
People who deserve it will still get it. Please do not fall into their trap that nobody will get help.
I think youre right. But when you are not hungry, it is easy to fail to sympathize fully with someone who really is. And the same principle applies to all the entitlements the Democrats have manufactured over the years. If you dont have to rely on your next Social Security check - which everyone else has been able to count on, all these years since 1937 - it is only too easy to feel smug when you meet someone for whom life circumstances have not made things quite as easy.I dont mind admitting that my own career was not as long as I had expected, and Social Security checks were a big help. That is less the case now, thank God. Were everyone able to contribute their checks to their children and do it, that would cancel out the Payroll Tax, and effectively buy back the Social Security debt.
Hey, Hil...you lost. Go away.
How about picking the pockets of hard working American citizens and giving their money to foreigners and wetbacks?
That is cruelty, you evil hag.

Well, Hillary, elections have consequences. If you want to change federal budgets, you ought to try winning an election.
