More Like mom has a crack habit. She is out of money...she does what alot of crack heads do. They get a car, ANY car hand the keys to a crack pusher to drive for a while for a few rocks of crack.

She probably already killed the kid because it was driving her crazy because she needed her fix, she makes the crack deal without telling the dealer what is in the car. Throws a blanket over the kid.

After she smokes her crack she calls the cops. Later as she is coming down off her high she remembers her kid and
claims the car jackers killed it.
