Media stories about topics such as GMOs and pesticides may convince some consumers that it's not safe to eat certain fruits and vegetables
Eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables can help lower calorie intake, reduce risks for heart disease, obesity and Type 2 diabetes, and protect against certain cancers.
With all these benefits, why do some consumers choose to avoid produce? Approximately three-quarters of people in the US dont eat enough fruits and vegetables.

The gobment want to carb people to death. I have never followed their food recommendations.
I eat very little produce. Why?
Don’t like it much.
I like corn, green beans (preferably cooked with bacon) and apples. Other than that...not much interested. Eat lots of meat, cheese and drink milk. And coffee. A little bread, or flour tortillas.
Eat out several times a year. Maybe once a month, though, I’ll indulge in an Egg McMuffin or a double cheeseburger from the McDonald’s value menu.
