Born on the last day of 1870...so his father was able to claim him as a deduction on his 2870 taxes.

When I was a kid I knew an old woman (mother of a friend of my grandmother) who was born in February 1869. Abraham Lincoln would have still been President then if he had not been shot.

He would have had to win a third term. I would like to think Lincoln would not have broken the tradition of George Washington’s of only serving two terms. Lincoln was before the age of politicians who consider themselves to be indispensable.
