The internet is abuzz with the claim that Trump said the Constitution is archaic: https://www.google.com/search?q=trump+constitution+archaic. As the linked Fox News transcript shows, he did no such thing. I think some lefties think the filibuster is part of the Constitution ... or they hope that low-information voters will think so.

I think he said something mcloser to....the mechanisms of the system (Congress) are archaic.
Thnx so much for not telling us what he actually said....in quotes...
I figured he was referring more to the assorted longstanding traditions & protocols which Congress follows but which are not specified in the Constitution. ...hence things like the “nuclear option”, which is just threatening to do things however the Constitution actually specifies instead of adhering to arbitrary rules which the other side wantonly ignores when convenient.
Meanwhile, White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus told ABC on Sunday that the president is thinking about amending or even abolishing the First Amendment to stifle what they consider to be unfair media criticism.
More fake news? Truth? Or is Priebus that stupid?
“I think he said something mcloser to....the mechanisms of the system (Congress) are archaic.”
That is exactly what he said. Anything more is fake news.
Damnable LIARS — Trump was explicitly talking about the “rules” within the House and Senate, which are set by each body and which are NOT the Constitution. There are plenty of archaic and irrational “rules” in each body.
Libtards, Mediascum, and RINOs are thoroughly, deeply dishonest. They will lie and distort everything to serve their power needs.
"I understand what has to be done, I get things done I've always been a closer. We don't have a lot of closers in politics and I understand why. It's a very rough system, it's an archaic system. You look at the rules of the Senate, even the rules of the House, bit the rule of the Senate and some of the things you have to go through, it's really a bad thing for the country in my opinion."
Thnx...and the system is archaic....

Then again, it would be good to be king ....
Last time I looked, the president lacked the power to amend the Constitution or to abolish an amendment.
Yes...but did Trump say it...or is Priebus lying? Or did the Media just make it up based on something Priebus said?
